That's funny. I talked to someone who isn't into DW fandom, but dislikes Rose and she thinks Rose's ending is hilarious because Rose really didn't get what she wanted.

On topic. What does Martha's tacked on, oh she has a fiance now ending have to do with Rose's? If you want to look at it another way, at least the PTB gave Rose's ending a little thought instead of having Martha happy way off screen.

Sheesh, I'm beginning to think Rosefen and Doctor/Rose shippers are the Harry/Ginny and OBHWF fans of DW fandom. Everything they want is canon, yet they're not happy unless the whole fandom agrees with them.

For the record, I don't care about Rose's happiness. She wore me out with her whining -- no one's going to convince me otherwise that she was having a perfectly human response -- during the last two episodes of series 4.

And you know, I don't really think Martha had what I'd call a happy ending. She worshipped the ground the Doctor walked on, and meanwhile he never stopped whining about Rose, Rose, how perfect Rose was. Even when she saved him and the rest of the world, he didn't really acknowledge how awesome she was. So she left and she found another guy and settled for him. Do I think she's over the Doctor? No. Do I think she loves her fiancé? Probably, but he's still her second choice.

I really kind of hate that years of badly written television and asshole ADD show runners means that ANYONE thought these ships were actually up in the air.

Like, I am all for fanon ships (take a look at my icons, seriously) but it was upsetting to see so many people convince themselves so completely that Zuko/Katara had any actual chance of happening on the actual show, particularly in the last few months.

A lot of people are laughing about tearful DA journal entries and crazy youtube video rants, but personally I just find it really sad. :(

125- Obviously not having read your book, I can't speak on it's quality, but for the love of GOD can we stop with the vampire/werewolf shit for awhile? it's over done to all hell. Your book will have to very VERY good to not just become another vampire/werewolf book, or do something unique with em.

Actually, I think we need more werewolf fiction. There is a whole heap of shitty "paranormal romance" out there at the moment, and vampires are always overdone, but I'd really like to see some werewolf fiction that focuses on them rather than as background characters.
