What are your favorite reality shows? Past or present.

But also, I just remembered the existence of Beauty and the Geek today for the first time in probably 8 years, and I kind of... liked that show a lot? It was weirdly sweet, for the most part - I think the fact that it was so focused on self-improvement, and trying to be relatively non-judgmental (by the standards of a VH1 reality show) really helped it a lot. It felt much more like it was trying to help people improve their lives in ways that they personally wanted to change, and much less like it was laughing at them. It also kind of feels like it was a show that couldn't possibly exist today. Definite guilty pleasure for me back in the day.

Great British Bake Off is my all time favorite! But I also loved those historical reality shows where they put modern people in historical settings... Victorian House, Manor House. I think there was a Pioneer House as well.

Great British bakeoff! No contest. I looooooove that show.

Face Off. Even if I usually disagreed with the judges on what they thought was cool, it dials down the drama in favor of watching people build and make decisions. And I learned some neat tips to use for cosplay...

I like skill-based competitions - Masterchef, Face Off, Cosplay Melee (and Nailed It as a variant)... I'm especially fond of Face Off, since it seems to actively try to engender friendships between the competitors, rather than ~Drama~.

Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance, and all the cooking shows (well, mostly Top Chef, Masterchef, Chopped, Iron Chef-any version, Great British Bakeoff and the American spinoff with Johnny Luzzini, and Cutthroat Kitchen).

I love watching MTV's The Challenge. I never get bored of it. I used to be big on Survivor, but I got tired of it a few years ago or so. I still like to watch the Amazing Race though.

Project Runway, RuPaul's Drag Race, and Deadliest Catch.

I discovered taskmaster this year during a particularly low time and it makes me laugh harder than anything I can remember. Can't wait for the new season!

I used to love the original Sixteen and Pregnant and Teen Mom, but either I grew out of it or it got too cringey because I don't enjoy it anymore.

I really like Face Off and "The Great Pottery Throwdown" (I wish there would be a third season but the topic is admittedly pretty niche).

Masterchef Australia is the only cooking show I enjoy watching. Everyone is so pleasant there.

I like the idea of Project Runway but I hate Heidi Klum. So I much prefer Project Runway All-Stars.

I occasionally enjoyed Survivor but I always stop watching after a few episodes because I lose interest in it.
