Canto Bight

I don't know if 'love' is the right word but I enjoyed the chase sequence and the fathiers.

Same...I also loved the anti-climactic anti-reveal about Rey's family.

The whole Dol Goldur sequence of the Hobbit movies. They were mostly terrible movies. But I did like those scenes (also Thorin's death, but lots of people like that).

Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds. Yeah, she was screaming. That is what a normal child does when their world ends.

The problem for me wasn't that her reaction was unrealistic, it's that her reaction was in the exact register and volume to make it mildly physically painful. Which doesn't make the character endearing, or the experience enjoyable.

I hear my neighobrs' kids scream every day. They're doing it right now. I don't spend money to go to the movies to hear that.

It's also realistic for characters to have to defecate regularly but with few exceptions we tend not to show our heroes zipping off to the bathroom to take a shit. Because it'd be gross and annoying and would bring the plot to a screeching halt.

Apparently a lot of people found Joyce in season one of Stranger Things annoying and shrill. I thought it was a good and emotive performance of a mother losing her son and also her mind a little bit.

I thought that was kind of the point - we can see how Joyce might look hysterical and crazy from an outsider's point of view, but WE know that she's absolutely correct and her son IS in terrible danger and she can't get anyone to take her seriously.

She was great!

I mean, do I love Winona Ryder no matter what she's actually in? yes, absolutely, but still, she was great even setting that aside.

I liked all the episodes that featured Becky on Supernatural. Since a lot of people hated her, I'm assuming that one Becky-central episode was really unpopular.

I thought Becky was cute until the episode where she was slipping Sam a love potion.
