Went to work. Did some laundry. Vacuumed. Remade my bed. That's about it. Nothing exciting!

Worked a full shift today and will be working the same tomorrow too, not a bad day at all and I found 5 dollars. After tomorrow, I have 4 days off in a row and nothing planned: I did laundry and dishes yesterday so that's done, and i have no errands to run. I think I'll watch a movie (I rented Goodbye Christopher Robin), go for a run each day, and maybe get sushi for lunch. I might even have a wake-n-bake day! Woo hoo!

Nothing really. Sent in some job applications. Wrote a bit. Weeded a bit.

Got my allergy shot this morning. Got into an accident coming home. Have a headache and a sore throat, so clearly coming down with something. So I went back to be when I got home. Kitty slept with me all afternoon, though, so that was nice.

Terrible. Work is bad. Health is bad. Relationship is rocky but if I try and talk to my girlfriend about it she just cries and won't actually have a discussion with me. Money is lacking. Bad bad bad.

Some work, some reading on ebooks, some games, and some dinner and TV in that order.

Now that my mental health is much more stable, I've been catching up on all the news I have been avoiding. It's...a lot.

Went to work, worked, came home. Gonna go for a walk before bed. Looked up “twitchy eye” because the muscles around my eyes, especially my right eye, have been twitchy and weird for a couple days.

Most common causes are drug related, which, no, aside from the occasional ibuprofen for headaches—and the onset of multiple sclerosis, which holy shit, no. And some brain cancers. Jfc, please let it just be some random thing that goes away. But it’s starting to creep me out and I don’t want to ask if other people have noticed.

I don't know if 'love' is the right word but I enjoyed the chase sequence and the fathiers.

The whole Dol Goldur sequence of the Hobbit movies. They were mostly terrible movies. But I did like those scenes (also Thorin's death, but lots of people like that).

Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds. Yeah, she was screaming. That is what a normal child does when their world ends.

Apparently a lot of people found Joyce in season one of Stranger Things annoying and shrill. I thought it was a good and emotive performance of a mother losing her son and also her mind a little bit.

I liked all the episodes that featured Becky on Supernatural. Since a lot of people hated her, I'm assuming that one Becky-central episode was really unpopular.

Who's your favorite ridiculously beautiful character from a book?

(Anonymous) 2018-05-01 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
And did the TV show/movie adaptation do a good job with the casting?

Sauron. His fair form, that is, before he lost it at Numenor. Supernaturally beautiful chosen from that he used to trick everyone into doing what he wanted. So it had to be pretty good.

Also a lot of elves. Finrod, Glorfindel, Fingon, Fingolfin, Maedhros, Celebrimbor, Luthien, Galadriel, Celeborn, Arwen, Legolas, Thranduil. Just, elves in general.

I think the movies sometimes did okay and sometimes didn't. The choices for Galadriel and Arwen to me were really good. Same with Thranduil. Legolas was okay. Elrond not so much. I love Hugo Weaving, but he was not the right choice. And Celeborn's actor looked kind of odd. And I like the idea of an elf like Tauriel, but her storyline was ruined, and I don't think the casting was the right choice.

Elrond is my favorite, and Hugo Weaving did not do him justice.

Buttercup and Westley in The Princess Bride.

Best performance from a child actor?

(Anonymous) 2018-05-01 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Partly inspired by the Dakota Fanning comment above.

My personal vote is the little girl in The Fall (2006).
