I offered to help family friends for a bit going through hard times by watching their booth at the local mini mall for some weekends.

it's 8 hours on Saturday and 6 on Sunday.

I just worry about being bored for that long, but I'm bringing some books, I can sit down and walk around, it's right by the doors so I can see the sun, and it's right by the grocery store so I can get lunch.

It's not a busy place, so I hope any transactions go smoothly and quickly so I can leave.

Life. The stupid surgery that I need that I may or may not have because of my stupid insurance. Which seems to have hit my mental health badly, or coincided with a bad period, or something. I'm having multiple panic attacks a day, feeling completely hopeless and numb, and yet crying randomly without actually feeling sad. Not suicidal, but I could get there easily. It is not good.

Still have no idea about the status of my job. Shit is not getting better in Nicaragua. I feel like my life is on hold because I don't want to commit to anything in case I lose my job.

I’ve felt kind of shitty all day. Something a couple inches up and to the left of my navel is giving me some serious grief, and it even looks like that side of my abdomen is (more, I’m fat) swollen than the other.

But I don’t like going to see my doctor because when I made my first appointment after years of not having health insurance, and asked if I could be tested for PCOS, his response was that my irregular cycle and heavy-duty body hair that appeared in my early 20s would go away if I ate less processed food.

I’m sick of everything being reduced to a weight issue. I’ve never smoked or drank or used any drug stronger than ibuprofen, I haven’t eaten meat since I was 11 and cook a lot of my own veggie-heavy meals, and I walk at least 5 miles a day—I walked 8 yesterday.

I’ve got a family history of breast, colon, pancreatic, skin, liver, and blood (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) cancers (and prostate cancer but at least that’s not gonna happen) as well as alcoholism, addiction in general, suicide, schizophrenia, type 2 diabetes—grandma smoked like a chimney and swam in vodka though—and major depression (which so far seems the only one I have to deal with personally, thank fuck.) So yeah, doctor, lecture me more about my weight. If I was skinny I’d have nothing to worry about. *eyeroll*

tbh I'm about to walk into asshole territory. That is, I'll be within the vicinity of my abuser and I'm stressing all to fuck. I won't be visiting them, but I'll be within the city and unfortunately, it's a mandatory thing I can't get out of. I don't what I'll do if I come face to face with them. Don't know if I'll freak out, go off on them like a crazy person. Worst thing is nobody knows about the abuse. Some folks know I am NC with this person but they don't know the extent of the hell this POS put me through.

Not ready to say goodbye (sad cat stuff)

[personal profile] syncing_feeling 2018-06-08 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
I posted on here a few nights ago about my cat apparently having an allergic reaction to flea medication. Overnight before the morning vet visit he deteriorated rapidly, breathing 90 breaths a minute, lethargic, not eating/drinking, peeing the bed.

At the vets we were told it was most likely a bad asthma attack and he had a couple of injections. He perked up after, but tonight he went right back downhill to the point I had to call the emergency vet line at about midnight.

It's not asthma, he's got fluid in his lungs and stomach, he's being kept overnight and we've been told that if he doesn't respond in the next few hours he'll have to be put to sleep. I'm completely broken. The house feels empty without him already and I can't stop crying.

Damn, I'm sorry. I hope he responds and gets better soon. I know what it's like to have a furry one deteriorate and not know what'll happen.

A confession I guess

(Anonymous) 2018-06-08 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
I have bad teeth. It’s mostly my fault - I have bruxism which doesn’t help, but mostly I don’t take good care of them and eat too many sweets, but I’m trying to fix them. But I’m so goddamned ashamed of it - I cry after so many dentist appointments because even getting my problems fixed fills me with so much shame and embarrassment. Even just people knowing I’m going to the dentist makes me feel uncomfortable. Why does having bad teeth fuck with my head so much? I mean the anxiety disorder probably doesn’t help but like. :/
