I managed to feel positive about my job search and researched candidates for tomorrow's voting.

I haven't watched the Simpsons in a very long time but I see where you're coming from. It's like in a way they are saying "We can't have an Indian character unless you let us make fun of him."

But that presupposes that you can separate the character from his racist writing and from the way that he's been used for 28 years.

Why not? I don't think it's an impossible thing to ask. Other characters on the Simpsons have changed and evolved over 28 years. Plots happen and time is clearly progressing, even though Bart's been 10 for who knows how long now.

You can always wait a couple of months and see what people are liking and what not. That's the great thing about Netflix original, they are there foreeeeever.

It frustrates me too. If something is especially good I might find out about it through friends but otherwise I might not have any idea. Also they seem to have a real thing for British police procedurals. I love them myself and Netflix has made one or two really good ones but they need more ideas.

(Or maybe it's just that I see them all the time because Netflix keeps recommending them to me...)

I bet some gay people get told to 'tone it down' a lot of places.

And what do you go for, Taco Bell or the real thing from a taqueria? And what fillings/toppings do you get?

I think the first person who missed it misled the other two.

Tacos are good but burritos are better. Actual tacquerias >> Del Taco >> Taco Bell. Best toppings is adobada, asada, and carnitas. I love tacos, tacos are the best, god bless tacos.

Yay! I love getting new bedding.

I worked. And did voting research and found out one of the judges I was going to vote for recently supported someone accused of groping women and said that such things were just part of Hispanic culture and something he did too. Well, guess I'm not voting in that position because I'm sure as hell not voting for a Republican.

But their release schedule means that people usually stop talking about them fairly quickly after they come out.

You get a couple weeks while everyone watches the new season of GLOW, or whatever, and then they've watched it and they're done.

Worked mostly. It's still pretty early here but I hope to get some writing done on my Yuletide fic.

Taco Cabana is miles better than Taco Bell if you are going for fast food.

There's something even stupider about it in a profession that's supposed to "act to the back of the crowd" and therefore be a bit more exaggerated anyway
