What new media are you most looking forward to and why

What upcoming things are you most looking forward to, and why. Especially things that aren't sequels/adaptions/remakes and are genuinely new things.

and this really random film about a school boy being the new king arthur but being a kind of geek and trying to save the world? I saw the trailer when at fantastic beasts and now I am really interested for some reason.

Also, there are new things that don't fall into the category you described????

For movies: The Irishman, The Lighthouse, You Are My Friend, Us, Greyhound, Knives Out, Pale Blue Dot, and The Dead Don't Die.

For video games: In The Valley of Gods and Ooblets.

Robert Eggers is planning a few films that sound really interesting. I especially hope he gets around to doing the medieval movie.

Also Queen's Shadow - a Novel! About Padme! (And hey, anon, I (tried) to read the Ahsoka novel...yeah it's kind of odd.)

Also Destroyer because goddamn it'll be good for my fave to be in a decent movie for the first time in about two years.

I guess I'm waiting for the Battle Angel Alita film. I don't know if I'll see it yet, because... well, I'm a fan of the manga. And while I have no problem handling the all the gore in black-and-white 2D on paper, I've got zero tolerance for it on film. So if the film is going to be anywhere close to the manga, there's now way I'll be watching it.

I'm still hoping for the film to do well, because I loved that manga a lot way back when.

The Kitchen (movie). Interesting premise of a mob movie told from a female perspective (which hardly ever happens).

I love most Christmas music. Especially if it involves choirs.

I like some of the Doctor Who Christmas specials. The ones that don't get too schmaltzy, mostly. I'm weird in that I like Christmas music, but I usually don't like Christmas media.

Home Alone 2 (I like it better than 1), It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, and A Nightmare Before Christmas. I also like watching the short films that come on tv like The Grinch and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Woops, forgot to add other stuff.

Music: All the classics. My favs are Carol of the Bells and Silent Night. Any versions of those two I can get. I also love all the stuff from The Nutcracker.

Has anyone read the book? Is it any good? The trailers make the movie look cool. Also, Hugo Weaving. But I'm not sure if the story is any good.

Bewitched remake

So apparently, they are making a new Bewitched for ABC, by the creator of Black-ish and Samantha is going to be black and Darrin is going to be white. I don't know how closely they are going to follow the original series, but it seems like this could have unfortunate implications that wouldn't be as present if it were reversed or both were black. They could, of course, be playing into those implications to then avert them.
