That's pretty extreme. There are two actors I find so repulsive I can't look at them but I just don't go see their movies.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds really nice actually. I kinda envy you.

RIP Cap's beard. ;___;

That doesn't seem like a bad way to find shows.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
You may be disappointed as vids can overrepresent the ship, but it's probably just likely for someone to be disappointed by a show after liking a trailer for it.

It's been so long since the last time I watched the movies or read the books that they've become one and the same for me. Personally I lost any sort of affection I ever felt for Molly Weasley in that scene in Goblet of Fire when she snubs Hermione based on fake stories written by Rita Skeeter.

Whether or not someone likes or wants kids.

We gained the stealth suit back but lost the beard. NOT WORTH IT! Especially since I don't think that hairstyle works without it.

The moments at the beginning with Tony and at the end with Scott were good, but overall it's super underwhelming.

Wow, never thought I'd see a Boucher secret!

I found his character intensely pitiable. He is sheer desperation made flesh, and I think the actor conveyed that amazingly. He had such a nervous energy, such despair in every line of his face and body. But I do understand why he might provoke a viscerally irritated reaction; his voice is really nasal and he's pathetic in both the charitable traditional sense and the rather more cutting modern sense. It was especially obvious next to Nicholas' calm stoicism and Bessie's frankness in the face of death.

Me too!

LOL yes.

I like it and plan to see the movie. I'm not sure why I've been seeing some people get worked up about it, but I'm not really in the fandom so there's probably context I'm blissfully ignorant of, haha.

I don't think Hermione was really bullied for being smart. She was called out on a few times, but... Hermione could kind of be pushy and know-it-ally, quite frankly. I love the girl, but I think the interpretation of her being a sweet brainy girl is 50% Emma's Hermione, 40% fandom projecting themselves onto her, 10% canon. (She does have sweet moments, for sure, but...)

Well, he cheated on his wife while she was pregnant, but I'm not sure if that is what the secret poster was talking about.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a great attitude to have. A lot more Who fans would be happier if they felt the same way!

Yeah we need to have a talk with his stylist. BEARDS FOR EVERYONE.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
This is honestly my question as well

I mean, unless they're serving it to me. Though I'd still be polite (if a bit sad) if someone served me a well done steak.

I mean we all have our own tastes and he isn't exactly Michelangelo's David, but I do find it odd that in internet in general can't stop going on about how bizarrely ugly he is. As far as I'm concerned, any kind of facial diversity in Hollywood is a good thing. Characterful faces in blockbuster movies are thin on the ground these days. At the moment it seems to be a blur of indistinguishable Chrisses at every turn.

?

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe I'm misunderstanding or reading this wrong, but you've liked all of the Star Wars movies so far?

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I strongly disagree with this. I agree that she wasn't sweet. But she was bullied. Not that every reference to her being smart was bullying, a little give-and-take with Ron isn't something to make a federal case out of, but she was bullied and her pushiness doesn't really justify that.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-07 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen much of One, Two, Three, Six, or Seven, but that's the great part of DW is that you can almost always skip whatever doesn't work for you and come back later.

Nicholas wasn't as sympathetic as he could be, nor did he really grasp that Boucher wasn't made of sterner stuff the way he was. But Nicholas was correct in saying that if men like Boucher caved, the union would never succeed in getting fair wages to support themselves and their families. But he wasn't entirely without compassion - he gave Boucher money out of his own pocket to Boucher to feed his children and promised him they wouldn't starve, so Boucher didn't HAVE to cave. And Nicholas was true to his word.

Sports. I'll never understand the whole rioting because our team won/lost a game, and even less the beating up/killing someone because they are fans of the "wrong" team.

I've no idea about what that is but I'm already in love with the art.

So, uh. Game? And if so, what platform?
