107. I think I had pretty much the same reaction to Asuka. She was basically lolicon fanservice until that point, but I still don't think it makes up for her being used as pedo eye candy for the whole rest of the series. In a way, it makes me feel even worse for her.

138- I think that is why RPS squicks me: they are real people with family, friends, co-workers and I would never write anything like that about my family , friends and co-workers. Fictional characters are fair game, real people are not. That is my opinion.

113) I will never understand character bashing. Sure I have some characters I'm not a big fan of. They rub me the wrong way, but I deal with them by not reading or writing about them. I don't get the obsession with focusing on people you hate. That said, some of the shipfen annoy the everloving crap out of me, and will occasionally sour me on a ship I previously liked.

130) I don't even find him that negative. He's a true believer in his cause. If we were given a chance to get to know him better we'd probably find out how he planned to improve the world once he took it over.

132) If you don't watch the show... what are you basing this opinion on? IMO, SG1 and SGA are very similar in style, writing, and production quality. Honestly, the only thing different about them is the main characters, and there's some slop there too. It's the one thing that gives me hope for Stargate Universe. It's absolutely nothing like the nosedive between Galactica and Galactica 80 -- not even remotely.

138) *nods* Once you see people on TV as being real human beings and not just characters, it becomes hard to see them treated soulless puppets.

Oh, I definitely agree there. But still, I found myself really liking a lot of the side characters at least, even if I really didn't care about the core three.

105. You know, I read it, and I dislike it not because it's OMG CASSIE CLAIRE!!1!1 but because it was derivative and predictable and every single character, regardless of differences in personality and background, talked exactly the same way.

109. I saw the hate in a journal and that person and a lot of the comments I saw were bashing on Dania. It made me want to throw something because that part where she was quoted to be laughing was obviously a fucking joke. Not liking Maya herself is fine. I get that not everyone will like her. I don't like some of the fandom's favorite characters but I respect the actors. And for the last time, NEITHER Maya or Dania are Mexican. Learn geography, asshats.

See, this is what kigurumi is for. :D I have fluffy, dark hair and wear huge thick specs, and my folks freak out if I even breathe the words 'hair dye' or 'contact lenses'. There aren't a lot of people I could conceivably cosplay unless it's under a mask and some sort of bodysuit. It's a little sweaty, but real fun. And full body costumes are always entertaining *heart*

That would be cool, but so many people hate on kigurumi. Do you have any experience with that, or is all the backlash I see just behind your backs?
