158. I know what you mean, especially with Zim. 'Course, I was more like 17 when that show was on, not 13...but still. It was the first show I was really batshit crazy about and found an online fandom for that I really enjoyed, and then it just...died. The steady stream of GIR shirts at Hot Topic proves there are still fans out there, but the fandom I used to love is dead. Also, I suspect most people who buy the cute GIR shirts no longer know WTF GIR even is.
166. Go ahead and write your book. Seriously. Do you think every book that gets published is 100% unique and unlike anything that has ever been conceived of before? Also, novels are a totally different market than manga. People might read your book who would never DREAM of picking up that manga. Don't let that be the thing that stops you.

147. I think part of the beauty of Lord of the Rings is that its characters are far too complex to just label as "the hero" or "the bad guy." Sure, at first glance Frodo might appear to be "the hero" because he's the one who has to bear the burden all the way to Mount Doom. But he's clearly not entirely pure and good and angelic. As for Boromir, he's one of my favorite characters in the whole saga because of how tragic his fall is, from proud and noble to consumed by power. It upsets me when I see people (especially fanfic writers) over-exaggerate his flaws and make him out to be some horribly nasty caricature.

I agree. XD Especially since Boromir wasn't at all supposed to a reprehensible person. One easily to fall into corruption, yes, but also one strong enough to overcome it and perform a heroic feat. If we were supposed to hate him, as a great many fans seem to believe we were (just what?), why the whole follow up plot with his father and Faramir? Why would his death in any way bolster Aragorn's resolve?

But then again, I always watch the movies with the eye of someone who's read the books a zillion times (not being pretentious here, just sayin'), so I guess I miss out on annoying movie-specific characterizations since I always have this "book canon" overlay playing in my head while I watch. So your opinion here might be perfectly valid, I don't know.

Also, while I don't think Boromir's death was at all Frodo's fault (~~IF WE WANT TO BLAME ANYONE, LET'S BLAME DENETHOR~~), you don't have to keep your sympathy for him a secret. Boromir's pretty swell. ♥

159. YEAH, I KIND OF HATE IT TOO. I haven't watch much of it but wtf with all the popularity. I wish they would just start re-running the old Dregrassi. Sure, it was 80's and cheesy and so painfully "Canadian television: this was the best budget we could manage", but I swear I have never seen another High School drama that portrayed those years as accurately as that show did.

147. You know, I love Boromir's character. It's fantastic. But if you really think that his distrust was completely unnecessary? Then you're missing something. The whole point is that the Ring corrupts and it corrupted Boromir or was starting to. That's why. He tries to take the ring from Frodo, after all.

153. When I first got into the anime, I automatically saw Mokuba as the most attractive of the lot. Eventually I started liking Joey too, but Mokuba was my first choice. Of course, I was a lot younger then, so it wasn't really that bad, but I still think he is one of the best characters in the show, simply because he's not a complete dimwit or angst machine like everyone else.

121- Well, if you actually knew anything about Sweeney Todd besides that fucking godawful film then you'd know that Toby is played by an adult in the stage version.

120. I can't say he's particularly attractive in Twilight, because in all the pictures I ever see of him his hair's a mess and he looks really weird in that vampy anemic makeup. I also think in one of the videos I've seen he was mildly assaulted by fangirls, which didn't help.

I gotta say though, I like him because he seems to poke fun at Edward and Twilight whenever he can get away with it. It always seems like he's struggling so hard to say nice things about it to be polite. I might sneak into the cinema to watch it just to see how it goes.

I actually never cared/liked him or twilight, but I feel very sorry for him now and I hope he comes out of it alright. xD

150- OMG ANIMORPHS SECRET. <3 I love this series so much!! STILL! I like the possibilities of Rachel/Marco and especially liked how it was technically canon in "Back to Before". Rachel/Tobias has always been my OTP, but I like Rachel/Marco as well. Animorphs love. <3
