110: People like you are the reason why I can't appreciate ANYTHING by Whedon any more: because crazy Whedon fans are so willing to praise everything he does as 100% perfect wonderful art that any time I look at his stuff -- even stuff I loved the first time I saw it -- all I can see are the flaws that the Whedon fans are going to gloss over, ignore, or fanwank away.

So, FUCK YOU. And fuck everyone who thinks like you. Not everyone likes Shakespeare, and Joss Whedon? IS NOT MOTHERFUCKING SHAKESPEARE.

(There's a deliciously tragic irony in the fact that Whedon's most ardent fans are the ones who've made it impossible for me to appreciate the good things about his work.)

I do! I have several fictional characters that I use for inspiration or just to help me feel safe when I'm feeling scared or down.

I still would recommend that you speak to someone, though, only because you're having suicidal thoughts. That's not just "the blues", that's usually a sign that something's really wrong. You don't have to battle through on your own. Other people might have been through worse in your eyes but you don't have to feel this way.

147. ... Did you miss the part where Boromir when nuts for a while and DID try to forcibly take the Ring from Frodo? And that even Boromir realized he fucked up so bad that he had to make amends somehow? Not gonna say Frodo's not flawed because he got fucked up by the Ring too, but um. Yeah. That whole sequence of events just made me love Boromir's character more. Wish he'd lived, but dayam he went down in a good, good way.
