I haven't watched much of the MCU movies but some of the people I followed were huge fans and it sometimes sneaks through. And I find the whiplash of the different posts about this kind of confusing but funny?

People raging about how Russos aren't fans of Tony Stark because they treated him so dirty, they only fawn over Captain America.

Some people raging about how Steve was done dirty, they love Iron Man the most.

I assume Jaime leaving had to do with the former.
First, he needed put his demons to rest (including making Cersei answer to what she's done).
Second... "The things I do for love..." This time, for Brienne's sake. Cersei had that "I'm onto you" look during that awkward exchanging of glances between her, Jaime, and Brienne at the last episode of season 7. Plus, she's known Brienne's in love with Jaime since the Purple Wedding. If she was sure Jaime reciprocated... well, knowing how vindictive Cersei is, Jaime was likely trying to protect Brienne.

He's not the man he used to be. I believe he said something to this effect earlier in the season, so I think claiming to be hateful was definitely his way of keeping Brienne from following. Which I'm almost 100% positive is going to backfire on him. (Oh, let me dream...)

Agreed completely and I've been saying that basically every ensemble movie. Too much freaking Iron Man. I find the character tolerable at best, obnoxious at worst, so yeah. Not sad at all about his fate, but the movie still focused way too much on him.

I mean, I obviously don't hope for TLJ level toxicity. But it's fine you liked the movie. It's also fine that other people didn't. Hope you don't think people not liking the movie and expressing their criticism is a personal attack on you.

Agreed that Jaime is probably going back with the intent to kill Cersei, but I think she's going to kill him, tbh. Gut feeling.

Dany's descent into madness has been so badly written and completely unsatisfying, I honestly hope she gets taken out too because the whole Mad Queen thing is so boring with her. I don't really care who takes the throne when it's all said and done as long as it's interesting, you know? Though at this point I'm just kind of expecting it to be Jon because they're definitely starting to get into some Hollywood cliches now and he's the Hollywood cliche answer. :/ I hope I'm wrong.

It was really obvious that Missandei was going to die, since they started to make beach vacation plans, but this was pretty stupid. They just happened to find her floating in the sea while the others got to the shore?

Ghost is better off without Mr. "I've got a brand new dragon now whoops sorry I don't please Ghost come back".

Jaime better not forget several seasons worth of character development, is all I'm saying.

Tony gets the best storylines at the expense of other characters In the ensemble pieces. Which means it's great if you're a Tony fan, not so great if you don't like him. That's why Tony is the worst part of the ensemble casts. It's not difficult to grasp. It's as if you went to an Iron Man movie and the story was all about Pepper, or Happy, or Rhodey. You'd feel cheated out of your character's story. That how the non-fans of Tony feel. If Tony's in the movie, it's all about him.

The rest of your comment I have no disagreement with.

What was the Magicians clusterfuck? I've heard of it but I haven't been able to glean what actually went down.

Fandom-wise, Umbrella Academy is getting some stellar fic written but if you're not good at blocking out drama you might want to pass on it. Wanky as FUCK. Various series(...es?) of Star Trek still have semi-active fandoms that are generally quite pleasant and discussion-heavy if you're into that, though not quite as much in the way of fic. TNG and DS9 are my picks.

Funny, that's how I feel about Golden Boy Steve and how much people will scream at you if you dare not like him or think the way he was about Bucky in TWS was super not okay.
