107. To be honest, I think it's kinda idealistic for people who read your fanfics to come over to your original work. I find that most of the time, people look up author for specfic things they want, like a fanfic for a certain fandom. I don't doubt that some of the praise is just hot air, but some were probably very genuine. I think it's better to have a select amount of people to read your original and give feedback on it, but that's IMO. I guess you can promote it more or slyly tell every person who said you can be published that you have an original in the works and would they like to read it.
Also, the downfall about the praise is that it can have you a false idea that you can be published on the drop of a hat. Each publication house look for certain entries that fits their vision, so expect a lot telling you, they're not interested. Despite that, keep trying and realize that it HAS to be something you really want to do and can handle rejection. That's why I roll my eyes when people who use Twilight as a basis that they can get published too. There's a more complicated process than that. Or, back on topic, you can self-published yourself to attract the big ones.
And I doubt all of them do that to get you to write more, not saying that they are people like that, but most were being honest.
109. LOL, stuff like that is one of the reasons why I ship them. Kanda is prolly the only person that Allen was absolutely honest with from the beginning (although he's more of himself around everybody now instead stretching the "nice gentleman" act). What made me ship them was the Martel mission and that Allen won't take shit from Kanda.

147. Wrong opinion is WRONG. Mukuro definitely has a personality, he's the trickster character in the series, meaning there's two sides of him. One's who malicious, potential violent (to point of liking seeing people suffer), and very vengeful and hides that with a playful demeanor with a penant for dramatics. The other side is more parental, mature, kind and caring to people he cares for (Ken, Chigusa, and Chrome) although he would never show it outright. Which side is true side of Mukuro is a bit blurry, especially when he can be a bit of a lair. Chrome's personality is more subdued: she's quiet but not shy, has a lot of determination to become stronger to help and protect the Kokuyou gang that she might think of as family.
I don't care if you don't like the character, you have every right to if you do. But it's tiring that somehow it means that character doesn't have no personality. Yes, disliking a character =/= character has no personality. Honestly.
150. Unfortunately, people do send troll secrets to F!S. People do get off of trolling others or getting a certain response. But I don't think it should exempt debate over a secret.

Second of all, I don't care she's like this with other characters, but not liking a certain character doesn't mean they don't have a personality, sorry to say. If she just said, I don't like these character because they're boring, good for her, but to say something they have no personality like it was a fact is annoying.

And where have I been hypocritical please? As far as my knowledge goes, I never said a character I hate has no personality. I expressed by dislike of characters before without retorting to that.
I'm not annoyed that she doesn't like Mukuro or Chrome. I'm annoyed with this trend that saying a character has no personality because they don't like them. I wouldn't even bother with the secret if she said they were boring or uninteresting characters because they would really be an opinion. I have plenty of characters I hate, but I would never say they had no personality.
And I'm not debating over the subject on hand. I'm debating that this opinion isn't really one because it can be proven.

If she worded the secret differently in that the characters are boring or uninteresting, it would be a valid opinion because you can't prove a character is interesting or not.

All I can say is this, she normally has me look over her secrets to check they wording makes sense, as she's not totally sure how to word things sometimes as English is her second language. If I'd have seen it before she submitted it I would probably have her word it differently because the kind of reaction it has got isn't unexpected.

I think the problem is that if you don't like a character, you don't go digging for personality and attempt to understand characters for what they are, hence brushing them off as 'no personality, next'.

But to be honest, even with the small screen time, almost all notable characters shown a good amount of their personalities. The characters are one of the strongest points of Reborn.
Honestly, it's sounds much like someone is annoyed that the character that they like don't get the attention that she think they deserve because GOD FORBID people like characters that you don't.

Ok, so this is exactly what I have a problem with. Yes, he did save all of them (more than one even). But is there any panel that shows that he actually cares for them? As you said, he's a trickster, a liar. Sure, maybe he can't show his feelings, because the experiments fucked him up good, but I really don't remember anything that clearly got across: I care for them! I save them because they are important to me, not because they could be useful soon!
So yeah, I can't help but think that this:

actually translates to:
although it was never shown outright
which in my book, makes it fanon (which may just as well be correct, who knows what will happen in future arcs), but the point I'm trying to make is: canon is not fanon.
Same with Chrome.

Quiet but not shy, I agree with that. And again, apart from the scene where she is being ignored from the Kokuyou gang, because she isn't Mukuro, and she looks vaguely upset, there is nothing to that. She fights, no word on her reasoning, she doesn't talk.
I don't participate in the fandom, so all I work with is the manga canon.
tl;dr: I think what people like about them is the "idea" they have of them, and not only a small part of that idea is based on the mangaka's canon (and that there's nothing wrong with that, as long as they don't jump other people when they ask "What's the big deal?" *nudge*).

The fact that he's working for the Vongola in exchange for a pardon for Chikusa and Ken from the Vendicare is an indication that he does care for them. You can say that "oh, he's just using them in some grand scheme to get closer to Tsuna's body", but Tsuna himself knew that wasn't the reason. That is a telling sign that Mukuro had changed in some degree since that fight with Tsuna. Another clue that he cares for his gang, although this is more exclusively towards Chrome is when he fought Glo Xinia. Glo asked Mukuro if Chrome was precious to him, which he reacted to and it spurred Glo on to try to kill Chrome. Also when it came to Mukuro and Chrome to synchronize their thoughts to unleash Chrome's illusory power, they thought of the same thing, which is the bond they believe that exists in the Kokuyou Gang. This isn't baseless spectulation. Mukuro seems to want to keep a certain persona to others (and perhaps to himself) but gets called on his bluff on it several times (Glo Xinia, Byakuran and Tsuna). I don't think Mukuro is a benevolent person, but he isn't an evil one either. Mukuro is more than an opportunistic person, especially after the Kokuyou Arc (which can be argued that his behavior started to change between that fight and the Vongola 77 novel, which he actually tried to possess Tsuna but failed to do so because their minds were too different, making it pretty much a lost cause).

If you found no reasoning with her actions, then you weren't paying much attention. Chrome fights for Mukuro. She wants to make him proud of her and for him consider herself useful because he saved her. In some ways, her loyalty to Mukuro isn't that different from Gokudera's loyalty to Tsuna. And yes, Ken and Chikusa didn't treat her well at first because she wasn't Mukuro, but she still consider them friends (and probably gotten closer to them judging on her attitude of them not being there in the future and her strong belief in the bond she had with the Kokuyou). You need to look back for the Glo Xinia fight for that.
Well, I disagree they only like them with the "idea" of them. Amano had put their personalities out there, especially Mukuro's. It's easy to give a character personality and you don't need character development for that (see nearly every comedy title ever). Amano flesh them out enough for people to be interested in them or even like/love them. Whether, you like it or not, is up to you. To be honest, I didn't join the fandom until the Future Arc so this is stuff I can upon by myself so no fandom influence there.
