Maybe if it were a really really pretty....... teen boy? 15 y/o Justin Bieber probably could've done that look if he tried for some reason.

Other than that, I got nothing, reads totally female to me.

I think I was definitely a stupid kid because so many jokes make way more sense now that I actually know more lol.

What terrible movies had awesome trailers that made them look better than they really were?

Suicide squad.

Not so much bad but misleading: a trailer I watched for In Bruges made it seem like a maybe slightly darker but overall entertaining comedy. So I did not expect it to be as black and gory as it was.

>"It will be when it fits a woman"
>better as "It will be when it fits me". It was SO close

Yeah, they kinda went with the telling the audience what a confident woman she is! FEMINISM! vs. writing an actual example of a confident woman.

For real.

Batman was able to live down Rainbow Batman, but the nipples... everyone always remembers the nipples...

This makes me think of that "Was I a good boy" comic that comes around whenever a famous animal dies

(Anonymous) 2019-05-21 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Really though, it gets sillier and sillier the more you think about it.

Batman, the supposed genius detective who plans deliberately for everything and tries to prep for all possible outcomes, designed his suit. And put nipples on it. Not even useful nipples. Deco nipples.

Batman must have sat there and designed decorative nipples, then spent loads of time actually producing a power suit with deco nipples on it.

It's a black comedy....

My back hurts 😢
And I was sick during the night, so I'm also just feeling really tired

More people should strive to be as good in heart as Ed.

No shit Sherlock. The thread was about trailers vs. movies though. And even in a black comedy, there's not necessarily an abundance of gore.

"What awesome movies had terrible trailers that made them look worse than they really were?"

Dazed and Confused!!

Most people don't use androgynous to mean "I literally can't tell if they're male or female" though. She's wiry, very little in the way of curves, with extremely strong facial bone structure - especially her brow and jaw. All of which is, traditionally, more masculine than feminine. I would never mistake her for a guy, but I would also never describe her as traditionally feminine.

Breaches of fandom etiquette

(Anonymous) 2019-05-21 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Asking artists to draw your OC for free? Dropping unsolicited prompts on writers? Showing actors smut of their characters?
What offences againt your idea of fandom etiquette have you seen?

Batman sat in his cool, dark, edgy Batcave, poring over the schematics for his latest suit.

"It's missing something," he said to himself for the third time this hour in his gravelly Batvoice, because you know he totally talks to himself in that. Except what? Bullet shielding, check. Impact shielding, check. Thermal shielding, check. Extra pockets for Batarangs and foldable grappling hooks, check.

His hand strayed toward his pencil. "It's missing something..."

i think it's just mainstream for "butch but, like, not like a dyke"

In your secret she looks more feminine than usual, and I'd still describe her as androgynous. But if you asked me whether the person in the link below is a girl or a beautiful guy in makeup, I'd only be about 70% on them being a girl.

(This thread prompted by:) I have mentioned here before that I have a favourite writer who is, sadly, not great at finishing things - they will often post a few thousand words of something really cool, then lose interest and abandon it forever. Which is a shame, because I'd love to see where these stories go, but the author is not my slave, I'm not their boss, I can deal with my disappointment like an adult.

On a recent work, though, someone left a SUPER passive-aggressive comment that was like: "This is great! It's a shame you're going to abandon it in a chapter or two to go write something else!"
There was more, but you get the drift.
Who the hell thinks that's a reasonable comment to make? Or even vaguely helpful? It's not like being an ass is going to make the writer want to go back to your favourite abandoned project.

If it's a good enough excuse for female superheroes to wear titty armor...

(Anonymous) 2019-05-21 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought the canon here was that Batman was retired? I might be mistaken.

Side note: I wish the Arrowverse treated LGBT male characters the same way every female LGBT character in the 'verse has a visible relationship with on-screen stuff.

Sorry, OP, Miike is currently in a fantastic magical girl phase and you're just going to have to wait your turn for him

(He does seem to have time for a movie or two a year where he can provide at least some of the kind of content you want, but I doubt he's able to pull off two tv series at once)
