I do believe that we, as a society, need more days everyone gets drunk and goes crazy in public. Don't enjoy it myself but I think it would be beneficial.

Buddy, I'm lazing around naked in a dark room with the window open and the curtains drawn, towel in hand so I can dry periodically the sweat that gathers between the rolls of fat and other nooks and crannies on my body. I'm pretty sure this heatwave melted the whole concept of shame from my brain quite a few degrees ago.

Greece vs. Macedonia

Okay, so, I understand that based on history Greece thinks it owns the name Macedonia. What I don't get is why the rest of Europe seems okay with this. I get why Greece would feel this way even though I don't agree. But telling other countries what they can and can't call themselves seems like a pretty basic "thing you shouldn't do," and yet the EU seems to be fine and dandy with this?

I did research, but I can't find any discussions on it one way or another. I found news articles on the things that happened, and things discussing the history of the two countries. But nothing on the EU and why they okayed this. And no opinion articles either. Just everyone seems to not have a problem with Greece doing this thing which seems pretty horrible to me?

Like, they embargoed them until they gave in and changed their flag. Then they vetoed their entry into the EU until they changed their name. these two things both seem really terrible to me and I'm just surprised I'm not seeing an outcry over it and that the rest of the EU seems perfectly fine with it. What am I missing?

for all its recent financial woes, Greece is just more influential and seen as a more stable and money making nation than Macedonia so it gets EU backing. Greece is seen as Western where as Macedonia is seen as more Eastern and less trustworthy. It is utter bollocks but unfortunately influences politics as if it is still 1912.

About mainstream media discussion fandom

I don't follow That Super Edgy Show With The Teen Lesbians (or so I'm told), but apparently the latest episode features the story of a tumblr BNF and on-screen animation of smutty One Direction RPF. I've no idea about how they went about it and what part it plays in the story, but it pretty much sounds like they went for the most absurd side of fandom around barring incest, furries and omegaverse.

But out of curiosity: Did anyone watch it, and on a scale of 1-10, how cringey was fandom depicted?
