Accomplishment thread

The laundry is done! The bills are paid! I communicated and got everyone on the same page about who is visiting whom next week! Paperwork is up-to-date, including filing for vacation hours - stamped and approved! What things have you all finished lately? From massive huge deals to just the lil' regulars that keep us keepin' on?

Awesome! I finished (mostly) this incredibly stupid exercise for work, based on 'The Giving Tree', a story I utterly loathe.

I cleaned my apartment thoroughly. It really needed it and I was exhausted when I was finished.

I also did baking yesterday and I started at a decent hour and didn't stay up all night, which is not usually how it goes.

Making progress on cleaning out Grandpa's place - threw out almost everything from the pantry today, including a jar of cardamom which expired before I was born.
We haven't even started on the books and records, though.

Poor Oranje. Haha, watching the game made me really happy Sweden lost the semi and got to win the bronze instead. Our team would have been even more pumelled than NL.

I am so excited! It will only have instrumental versions of any of the songs from the animated cartoon. It also has no Mushu. This looks like a more serious tone and I am here for that!

Not thrilled. Afaik, nobody among the writers and director is actually Chinese and I have very little faith in that. And I think they should have stuck with their version, tbh. The songs were kind of the best thing about it. If I want a more faithful adaption of the legend, I'll watch one of the several Chinese Mulan-centered movies.

Aw, no Mushu? Well, I'll probably still go watch it. I haven't been a fan of Disney's live action movies so far, but I do love Mulan and here's hoping that the action scenes will be awesome.

I'm very sorry you're upset. I don't know what your relationship is like with your family, nor how you blew up... But as badly as you feel right now, things will get better. If it seems right to you, apologize and let them know how hurt you are by the argument. Try and make amends.
Everyone get's angry, especially with those closest to them. But it doesn't necessarily make you 'terrible' or a bad person by default, or at all.
People are allowed to make mistakes, because mistakes are inevitable to make, so wether or not this silly rambling helped. I do sincerely hope you feel better,

Weirdest Tags You Didn't Expect

Came across a fic recently that gave me so many double-takes that I had to share it with you guys...

Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Fluff, 5+1 Things, mentions of necrophila, Swearing, Established Relationship
Summary:
The five times their cuddling wasn't romantic, and the one time it kind of was.


Like just casually right in the middle there, and I haven't read it yet, but I'm really fucking hoping they misspelled narcolepsy or something. I mean, no, the series isn't even about ghosts or the undead or literally anything like that;; I'm scared. What do you think F!S?

I've definitely run across tags that went something like "Fluff, Cuddling, soft tender kisses, Anal Fisting..." and after I spit-take I'm like, "Well, that escalated quickly."

The weirdest tag I've seen recently was "raw water" as in untreated water from a stream that some people think is healthier to drink than treated water because some people are idiots (Parasites Yay!). No one in the fic drank raw water, it was just mentioned in passing.
