I travelled back from my vacation place, stopped for some cake on my way home, unpacked my bags, caught up on some reading, then decided that cooking could wait until tomorrow morning after all.

I worked this weekend so I'm kind of looking forward to it being over! I'm having an OK day though. I want to take a long bike ride tonight but I'm not sure yet. I like to ride to a particular Starbucks but they start kicking people out way before they close, not that I blame them.

Very nice. I'm on my period so I'm not feeling it so much, but I showered and dressed (in a cute outfit) and my husband took me to brunch at Lazy Dog. It was good, I had their bacon and egg mac and cheese and lemon cake for dessert. Then we got tea at my favorite boba place, now I'm home chilling and watching preseason football, woohoo! Oh, and I'm off work tomorrow too!

I enjoyed what was probably the last day of summer here, seriously considered going no poo but decided to at least use up the rest of my expensive shampoo before it, did some impromptu decluttering of my living room shelves, watched some five or six episodes of Legend of Korra.

Fine, but the batteries in my smoke alarm are running low, so it beeps every now and then. It's annoying, but I don't want to go out into the heat right now to buy batteries, so I'll just try and block it out.

The best genre of movie is action movies, and the best action movies are The Killer (the John Woo movie), Point Break (the original) and The Matrix.

Dramas is a pretty broad genre. I'd say one of the best is Schindler's List.

For crime dramas, I'd have to choose The Godfather.

For horror in general, The Thing is so damn good.

For zombie horror, I can't choose between Train to Busan and Pontypool.

For animated family movies, The Lion King. Obviously.

And for superhero action movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Again, obviously.

Because that's where my mind goes, apparently.
