Eggs Benny is my favorite way to eat eggs. Otherwise, I like fried over easy if I can have the egg on toast. If I have to eat it plain, then I like hard boiled. I

like eggs most ways, but they can't be glucky. The white has to be entirely set, and I strongly prefer if the yolk is only at between 50% and 80% runniness.

Except it’s supposed to come out in 2019, officially. They’ve already announced that. And contrary to the anon above’s opinion, animation studios like to do big rollouts leading up to hit-ticket properties’ movies, especially when they’ve already announced the release date, even roughly.

There’s only 3.5 more months of 2019 left. Something is up. Whispers day it’s to do with issues the production team met using Olympics in the movie, but I don’t know that I really believe that? Because YOI has used Olympics (including the rings and all) in a major promotional campaign (with a major sports brand), so they have experience jumping through the IOC’s hoops for permission and would certainly have hashed it out.

But something definitely seems to have happened. We’ll just have to wait and see what :/

Well, when it starts, anyway. Some years pass and if they don't want to recast, then they choose actors they think can play all the ages. But, yes, the youngest, Amy, is supposed to be 12 when it starts. I do actually think they've skewed a little old this time and that they should also be closer in age to each other (the four sisters at the start are 16, 15, 13, and 12, and the actors are 29, 25, 20, and 23). In the 1994 version, the actors are 27, 23, 15, and 12 (and 24 - an older actor portrays an older Amy in the second half).

My kitten is limping and I'm very concerned for her. If this doesn't stop in the morning, I'm taking her to the vet.

Yep...but they're not the norm, are they. Every single March sister except Beth ends up married, with kids. Even Jo, who was dead set against marriage. Jo reflects what you describe as Alcott's ideal for women, initially. All she wants is to write and support her family, yes? She ends up married to a man who lectures her on the sensational stories she writes to do that. She ends up being the mother figure for a dozen kids. She's a writer too, but the sequels to Little Women arent about her career and independence. They're about her kids, biological and otherwise and her main role is as a mother.

The original one. OMG, it was so amazing. :D

Yeah I get that, Rose is great with Lailah, and Sorey and Mikleo are plain canon so there's no coming between that.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-19 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Don't they do this with women all the time? LIke not the monster changes of de-ageing someone twenty or so years, but more around five years younger. This is just terrible though. There isn't even any good reason for not casting a younger actor, since most show don't even bother with likeness when it comes to family.

(Anonymous) 2019-08-19 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
I'd recommend the 1994 version (which I would argue had near perfect casting), but all three movie versions have their merits.

They did it for Tron Legacy too.

But the weirdness would work there because he's a computer program

Oh shit, she is, isn't she? Lol. I sometimes forget that celebrities are subject to the passage of time, because I just remember them by one role or one era. I expect a lot of people do that, though.

NA

There's no way in hell her books would've been published if she'd given every single female character a happy single-hood ending. Still, if you read her books in order, it's really clear that she gets to put more and more progressive stuff into them as the years go by. The girls in Jo's Boys are studying and have aspirations beyond getting married, doing charity work with their rich husband's money and being a mother. It's a theme in her books.

Absolutely, when a contemporary dancer does bad in a different category they can't stop with the excuses of it being 'out of their style' and whatnot. They'll give a popper smooth hiphop (aka contemporary with less flailing) and kick them out because they can't even pick up choreography in their own style, when it's nothing like what they do normally.
They pick a frontrunner so early on, and it basically doesn't matter how they preform after that. It's always a young underdressed contemporary girl Nigel can leer at and make inappropriate comments about.
