I've never shipped Dean/Sam.
I have shipped: Dean/Impala, Sam/Jess, Dean/Hendrickson, Dean/Bela.
I am currently shipping Dean/Castiel, but not Sam/Ruby.
Dean/Ruby would also be hot.
I like love-hate relationships.

Also, I'm allowed to think that they keep getting shitty female actresses that completely throw me out of the scene.

108. I'm guilty of that too. I don't review as often as I should, and I don't comment on art as often as I should, because I hate just saying "Yay, I liked it." Which is totally hypocritical, because I know how much I like getting comments. Granted, everyone, I think, prefers comments that aren't the same three words and all.

Secondly--LIES! Oh, sure TNG had the shinier sets and more natural actors, and special effects that were more than rubber-head-aliens and sparkles in water, but TOS...TOS had heart. It was a space western, in it's own way. It had the analogies and the Golden Trio and...it's warm and cuddley, dangit! I never got nightmares from TOS as a child.

121. I'd rather it stay on the periphery, really. A lot of times, when canon!gay becomes really canon, it suddenly becomes the chief defining characteristic of whoever's involved. Well, under bad writers, anyway. Colossus in Ulitmate X-men was great--he was a well-rounded, fully-realised person. And then Kirkman took over, and suddenly he was all about teh gay. Or Northstar when *gag* Astin wrote him. Or yeesh, you could have the lamey lameness that is Ianto/Jack.

But more than that, I think it's just cuter with the hints and teases. Some things are better left to the imagination, especially if it's just them playing around. If they did actually just settle down together in a stable relationship, maybe (but I never really want to see Harley give up on Mistah J--though now that I think about it, I'm convinced that's where they're at in the Batman Beyond).

INORITE? I've always felt that Alan Moore is sort of cheated by his own fandom, because most people just stick with his really famous works, where everyone and their relationships are fucked up, and they skip his lighter works that are just as good. In a way, actually, Top 10 is better than his famous works, because anybody can eke out a faintly interesting story with really fucked up characters; making really compelling stories with completely normal people is pretty hard.

Maybe it's less about serious business and more about the fact that, serious or not, those attitudes are unpleasant for most people to be around.
