136. Not all people think that Sam/Ruby is wrong because of the possessing thing. I don't really care about that... well I didn't until some people brought it up. I don't like Sam/Ruby because I think it's just not right and because this Ruby has no personality and I just wish she would die a slow horrible death. 101. Who says anyone believes that fandom pairings are realistic? Most of them are from series that are not realistic in the first place. I find normal happy and healthy relationships to be boring in fiction but in real life they are great. Not everyone looks at their ships or pairings as their ideals, except maybe the people looking for the A to their B, but not anyone really knows that.

And plenty of people who do ship, also have happy and healthy relationships in real life.

122. It's because your "fun" has a tendency to make other people feel defensive. There is nothing wrong with disliking a female character. There's nothing wrong with liking porn. There's nothing wrong with liking yaoi. It's when all those things feed into one another in totally illogical ways--if you like OOC pornfests then, uh, just ignore those girls you don't like, since if it's OOC, they won't 'get in the way'?--that you probably want to take a look at why you feel certain ways about female characters.

In short, I'm sorry, but "gets in the way" is an absolutely fucking idiotic reason to hate any gender of character, and people online don't have to tolerate stupidity they might have to in the real world.

I mean, I too get frustrated when I like a male/male couple and happen to dislike a female character, then get tarred with the misogynist brush, but I've never disliked a character solely because they've gotten in the way of shipping. When people say they hate female characters for that reason, you make the rest of us who dislike some of them for valid reasons look that much worse, because no matter what I say, people are going to assume that deep down, I dislike her because I also like 'teh buttsex0rs'.
