Not the OP, but I can say it happens. Especially if you have to watch a show for some reason. (i.e. one of my ex's forced Stargate Atlantis on me, and I watched it only because of her. I hated everyone in the show save one or two minor character, and I shipped them.) I've also had a character I REALLY HATE as part of one of my OTPs. It doesn't make sense. But there it is.

It would be nice to have a man with Cameron's stereotypically feminine traits; also, the romance with House and Cameron's "I'll come back if you date me" thing would have either a) been dropped, or b) had a much different dynamic. IMO, Chase would've been just as awesome as a woman, and Wilson would be great if they kept the shipping at the level it is now (i.e. very strong feelings of friendship and some subtext, but no overt romance). Which the show almost certainly wouldn't do.

a) his editor told him that his art (read: his male characters) wasn't pretty enough for the female readers;
b) he finally decided to give in to the urge to turn his characters into models so his clothes would look even better on them.

Btw, I don't really mind the current drawing style (even though Ichigo's normal expression turned from "morose badass" into "pretty and dumb" xD), but I do prefer his earlier style. Ah well.
