I judge people who say the hate cats (or dogs for that matter). Dislike them, weird but fine. Afraid of them, sure. But hate? Anyone having that strong a negative feeling for an animal type in general I think says things about them as a person. If they then go on to say they've had a bad experience, I'll still sideye since blaming all cats for your one bad experience is questionable, but I might be willing to soften my stance. But generally when I hear someone say that my first reaction is that I don't like them and don't want to know them.

I kind of judge people who reblog those stupid "reblog for good luck/scrolling past is bad luck" posts. They're just so annoying (the posts), and they only continue to exist because people keep spreading them around. What I really hate is how many people feed into it by claiming that the stupid "lucky blog post" worked for them. No. Fuck that. You're probably making it up for reblogs, but even if you really did get lucky and find a fifty dollar bill on the ground the day after you reblogged the stupid fucking "money cat" or whatever, it's chance. Two hundred thousand people have reblogged that post. At least a few of them were bound to get lucky in one way or another within a few days of reblogging the post.

I really want to be skinny enough that when I wear baggy clothes they hang off of me in a cool way. I’ve always been thin, but I’ve never been quite that thin (except maybe when I had an eating disorder, but at the time I felt fat). But man, I want it. I just think it’s such a great look.

I could probably get that look if I lost about ten pounds - which isn't even that much for someone of my height. But I know it’s a bad idea to make that effort. I’m a lot older and more mature than I was when I had an eating disorder, and I think my risk of a full-on relapse is pretty low. But I shouldn’t flirt with that shit. It’s bad news.

I still LOVE that look, though, and I still kind pf pine for it.

I really disagree with most "conventional wisdom". The first one to come to mind is "you regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did" although I know there are others.

I can think of a few things I did that I really regret, but there's nothing I regret NOT doing. I'm sure there are people that DO regret things they didn't do, but to act like it applies to everyone annoys me.

Also common phrases/sayings, like "living at home" to mean "living with your parents". Like, no. I'm a grown adult and my parents' home is not my home anymore...it's my parents' home, I have my own home now.

Yup. We'll be doing dinner at 4 tomorrow. Me, the parents, sister and brother-in-law, and two random people from church my mother invited. Thanksgiving is always a big holiday for my family. Friday we'll put up some Christmas decorations (used to put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving, but we don't do a tree anymore since my cat likes to climb things).

I'm studying for finals and my brain's feeling super fried, so I'm looking forward to the ham (not a fan of turkey) tomorrow. The family arguments not so much, but I can always retreat to my room when they get too loud.

Tomorrow, my brothers, my sis in law, and my niece is coming down. I just made the stuffing and it's waiting for me to shove it in the turkey in the morning. :D

We are not having Thanksgiving until Saturday. So, tomorrow will just be me sleeping in. I might drink tonight and play video games. I don't have to work Friday so I am off for four days.

Just drove 6 hours to my parents' house for Thanksgiving. It wasn't anywhere near as Snowpocalypse-y as I was led to expect. The highways were fine. A little icy in the gas station parking lot and snowy on my parents' street but that was it. I did count SIX semis off the road. No smaller vehicles, though, so I'm guessing the culprit was not ice but the wind! It was very windy this morning before I left. I saw a tall billboard that was suffering damage to its top edge.

I figured the same thing and didn't want to post anything because I didn't think there was any point lol. My family's all out of town (we already had our Thanksgiving celebration) so I'm just hanging out relaxing, trying to decide what to buy from Black Friday sales.
