1. My friend thinks I'm her therapist. If I told her (as she already knows anyway) that I actually have my own job that makes me tired just like she does, she'd lay on the guilt-tripping about having depression.

2. There are posters everywhere at work about how to prevent the flu because it's spreading awful here, yet every time I use the bathroom and someone else is there too, they don't even wash their fucking hands. Including the bosses who put up the damn posters. Do they think being in charge of everyone includes being able to tell the flu itself to leave them alone?

I'm looking at two pairs of shoes from the same company and both of them come in a color described as "British tan leather" and yet the shoes pictures are clearly different shades of brown

I went to bed around 1:30 last night and woke up at 6:30 this morning because I was making food for my roommate’s work party to pay back a favor. I figured I had the day off so I could just take a nap at some point.

I had a headache by the time the food was done and took an ibuprofen with breakfast. I threw it and breakfast up.

I said fuck it and went back to bed, but couldn’t sleep because my head hurt so much. I tried eating again at lunchtime, and then the headache got worse and I couldn’t stop puking. I took a shower to wash the gross puke sweat off, got out of the shower, and started dry-heaving again.

Ffs, I can’t even keep water down. The headache is less horrible right now, but keeps randomly coming back, my throat is burning, my stomach hurts, I’m dehydrated, and I got no Christmas shopping (not even online) done, and no other errands either. And I have work tomorrow. I have to go hand feed one of my hens right now, and I want to go for a walk since it’s dark now and usually that helps my headaches clear up, and I’m bored, but I can’t focus on anything. But I’m afraid to get too far from my bathroom and bed. Ugh.

I realised that medication I *thought* I was on to reduce my chances of getting uterine cancer, is probably actually to reduce my chances of getting type 2 diabetes. I know this is a weird thing to be pissed off about, but I am really fucking sick and tired of people suggesting I'm in imminent danger of developing diabetes. I get it! I'm really fucking fat! *However*, there is NO family history of it, and I've been tested twice in two years!
I AM NOT PRE-DIABETIC SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT.

I picked a wedding date, and it's something that's kind of silly/whimsical. Told a coworker. Coworker immediately started telling me about her daughter who had 10 wedding guests because of some numerology bs and they got divorced after two years. She said it like divorce was the most shameful thing. I told her it was just a little joke, not a superstition, and she tore me a new one about how NOBODY will take our marriage seriously if we treat it like a joke, adding "I certainly won't", as if that matters. Told her a wedding is not a marriage. She said why even get married then. Later on she says "how mad at me are you?" and I was like "eh nbd" and she goes on another rant about her daughter and how...I remind her of her daughter...(newsflash I'm not your daughter)

This isn't the first time she's taken offense to a choice I made about MY OWN LIFE (somehow me choosing to stay home for Thanksgiving instead of travelling a bunch was about how her kids never visit her) so like, I know it's a her problem but jfc I'm just gonna...stop telling her things about my life if I can help it! Who cares what someone else's wedding date is or why they chose it? She doesn't know a damn thing about my relationship.

The double elimination on the first episode of this season of Project Runway bugged me. It was pretty obvious that one of the two refused to work with the other and created so much difficulty that although the other woman's outfit had issues (less so than the first one), it was pretty clear even on the Runway that the problems stemmed from that one woman. Only one of them should have gone home.

The dog just threw up his partly digested dinner for no apparent reason. He seems fine now but I hate it when this stuff happens because I'll worry all night now. :(

I think my friend might be trying to ghost me into unfriending them because they don't want to actually do the unfriending themselves. They've been very distant and unwilling to talk much lately. Should I take the bait and just do it? It'd complete the abandonment trifecta that has been this past month or two, after all.

Weekend Plans

What is everyone doing this weekend?

Tonight, I am watching my niece and nephew. Tomorrow, I can hopefully get some Christmas packages wrapped and work on the scarf I am making for my sister.

Spending time with my kitty mostly. She spent most of today at the vet. She has cystitis and is not feeling well.

Also sorting some music and putting Christmas music on Ipod. And hopefully a few job applications.

The Brother and I were going to see Jumanji if he was free but they've got work and errands so we're going next weekend, so I'll probably go see Knives Out since I've been itching to see it.

Also need to do some laundry and maybe some Christmas wrapping. If I can, I'll finish up my last two items for Christmas shopping too.

My mom had (successful!) open heart surgery, so there is a lot of hospital this weekend. Gotta help the nurses bully her! >:D

Mostly just relaxing and reading, listening to a couple podcasts, and I'm looking forward to watching some non-impeachment related stuff since that dominated the week and I need a break. And I definitely need to do some cleaning/organizing but not sure I'll actually end up doing it lol.
