I just want to make the point that monster sex is not furry. It's a different thing. I think it's reasonable to call it furry-adjacent so I'm not really even disagreeing with OP but there is a distinction here imo.

Monster sex is more like xeno, isn't it?

TBH I don't see much of a distinction. Still non-human body.

Degrees of anthropomorphism for one thing
philstar22: (Default)

[personal profile] philstar22 2020-01-11 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh, I think there is a pretty equal range of anthropomorphism in what furries write and have as a kink. And the secret is specifically about an entirely-not anthropomorphic dragon.

Furry is a distinctive, cartoonish style, I think. Creatures that stand like humans but are otherwise animals with like Disney faces.

Hmmm, really? I thought furry referred to anyone sexualizing animals with some level or another of anthropomorphization.

If you dont know what furry is, maybe don't try to correct others on it?

(Anonymous) 2020-01-12 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think any of the people disagreeing with you are actually furries so feel free to disregard their uninformed opinions on what the community likes.

Yeah monsterfucker is a separate genre

(Anonymous) 2020-01-12 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
Your assessment is wrong. There are TONS of furries into dragons, you'll find anthro and non-anthro dragons everywhere at conventions. If you're not a furry, don't correct people on something you yourself know nothing about.

ok I was really stuck by the art on this secret. That is awesome, I don't think I've ever seen someone imagine dragons that big.

One of them in Tolkien is that big. Ancalagon is big enough that a mountain is pulled down when he is killed.

THIS.

(Anonymous) 2020-01-11 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Presumably not a dragon of this size...

Thanks OP, now my brain is going to spend the next hour or so trying to figure out how to make that work.

(Anonymous) 2020-01-12 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, this is made from a comment secret so I'm guessing they didn't mean a dragon this size. But I am totally in the same boat, the imagery is traumatic.

Who painted that? Can't read the signature and Google isn't helping.

I love how freaking *huge* that dragon is! Most dragons are just made too small. How frigging terrifying to be that knight and seeing that rising up and up and up....!!!!

Re: Furry sex, monster sex, whatever - people get so fucking hung up on it. Who cares? Don't fuck animals in real life an we're good.
philstar22: (Thor Yes!)

You'd like this guy. He was supposed to be as tall as a mountain. https://lotr.fandom.com/wiki/Ancalagon. Maybe we'll get an adaption someday.

Oh, that's cool! I mean - any animal that big is totally going to be impossible to a) feed and b) house and c) actually fly.

But in a world with magic, it's just so *awesome* to have this insanely huge creature.

OP of comment

(Anonymous) 2020-01-12 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for making my comment into a secret, and what a beautiful picture you used! Admittedly, my dragon version of the character in question is nowhere near that big LMAO

Still pretty big tho >> It's a tight fit.

What fandom is your dragon AU for? I'd been writing a dragon AU (of a non-sexy variety, before anyone gets their hopes up) in an old fandom and am considering one for a current fandom. But I'm always interested in dragons.
