That was the first gay themed book I read, actually, and I can only support that rec. The book is simply awesome.

Hamtarou AND Sailor Moon were my firsts, my best memories are from those two T_T

I have shipped them from comic 1. I actually have hope that it will become canon, partly because of the weird arc where you saw inside Penny's head, and one of the potential!Penny's is obviously in a relationship with Aggie.

124. I don't ship it, but I do as hell have alot of rage towards both of them!
144. I never considered them 'minor characters'. Hell, alot of the time Matsuda and Aizawa were more interesting to me than Light ever was.

Whoa... This is the first time in all the months I've been watching this community that I've had absolutely nothing to say about any of the secrets. Not even the linked ones at the bottom of the page. What a dull day.

My problem is FINDING gay-themed books.

My library has a poor enough selection as is, and I'm not the type to throw money down when I don't even know if I'll like what I'm buying. :(

I KNOW, RIGHT? It's SO weird seeing a secret about this show on here^^
What country do you know it from? I wonder how many countries this show was broadcast in. I saw it in Germany.

Sometimes I wonder if the fanbrats think Ten is short for Tennant, and not because he's the you know TENTH actor to play the role.

or like 15th or something if you include Curse of the Fatal Death, and that one movie with Peter Cushing.

Edit because I fail at including numbers

I see how you're attached to DT, but if you now realize that you only watched Doctor Who for him and can't possibly get over him leaving, then GOOD NEWS: He'll do other movies you can watch him in.

And for those who care about the show, it will still be well written and feature everyone's favourite alien, albeit with another possibly fantastic actor.

[identity profile] killerqueen42.livejournal.com 2008-11-11 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
120. There's a whole smorgasbord of excellent gay-themed graphic novels out there, hell I recommend them to everyone, gay or straight, comics fan or not! There's Fun Home by Alison Bechdel which is autobiographical but with such good storytelling, art, and writing that it made my father see for the first time that comics can indeed resonate emotionally. She's also done the long running strip Dykes to Watch Out For, also something I highly recommend. There's Stuck Rubber Baby by Howard Cruise, and various comics by Roberta Gregory, Ellen Forney, Leanne Franson, the queer comix anthology Juicy Mother, the comic strip Chelsea Boys, and lots of others. I'd love to see more recognition for them as just all around excellent artists and works, period, but... yeah. I think I could write a thesis on queer comics by now.

137. Oooh that stuff is the highlight of every Hanukkah, even if the chocolate itself doesn't taste as good as when I was a kid. I still think they should make that 'coin' sound when I take them out of the bag.

146. I hear ya on her. I have a feeling we're gonna start seeing a lot more "Rachel Maddow is making me question my sexuality..." type secrets:)

137. For some reason, I like snapping them in half when one side of the foil is off..I dunno, I just sorta always did that and have no idea why O_o

I grew up watching it in German. Funny how such a show can travel the world ;-)

105: I know the feeling. Furries (At least the psychotic) ones absolutely disgust me (and I play Knuckles from the Sonic fandom). But ohgod that game is so awesome *~*

148: I... don't ship them. At all. It's way too fucking obvious. Sadly, that ship will probably happen and I'll lose a bit of faith in T's writing.

103. Yuuko is so amazing. ♥

107. Isn't this a repeat, even if not in precise execution? Oh well, "b'awww, welcome to how Doctor Who really works, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out," etc.

It's kind of annoying how fast the doctors are passing. Who is going to run out of body reincarnation things [that term I cannot for the LIFE of me remember] soon. They really need to get someone who will stick with it for more than five minutes. --Judo

131. I giggle to myself when I see these shippers and wonder if they have any idea how old Kakuzu is. Knowing something they don't know brings a little bit of warmth to my heart. ♥

141. Dude. Dude? Rock the fuck on. To hell with being ashamed of your favourite anime--you like what you like, right? I'm not really one to talk, because while I adore a good lot of different series, the only fandom I'm actually active in is the Naruto one. And, uh. I am pretty embarrassed about that sometimes. But hell, who cares? As long as you aren't a screaming wanking fangirl nobody can really accuse you of anything. What are they going to do, call you stupid for liking a series they think isn't all that good? Pride man, pride.

[all] I love how many yaoi boy love wangst secrets there are. It's hilarious how seriously people take two men fucking. --Judo

[identity profile] frostious.livejournal.com 2008-11-13 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
131. What makes you think the shippers don't know? Since they love the characters so much, don't you think they'll be among the first people to be up to date with this kind of stuff.

So yes, we know. I fail to see why his age matters.

104. Hey, don't call people it. That's not nice.

106. Paris or Nylon? I'm going to assume Paris.

122. Yes! :D 99% of Tokio Hotel fans are the wankiest, craziest fans on earth. If you want some more good wank, go look on YouTube for Bushido interviews so you can see the fangirls in all their CAPSLOCK OF RAGE glory. ("OMG BILLS NOT GAY I H8T U" etc, etc) However, the new mod seems like she's part of the 1%. Maybe we should pray for her or send her some aspirin or something.

125 & 129. XD

132. Her fandom must be the most dull and humorless thing ever. I think they all sit around patting themselves on the back over how superior they are to the rest of the world.

141. Hamtaro! :D :D :D

142. Original, please?

I can't count how many people have asked for the original image. xD But you're the first to get it. CONGRATS.
