(Anonymous) 2007-03-11 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)What's the difference between comparing real people to movie stars and comparing them to anime characters? People do the former a lot.

(Anonymous) 2007-03-11 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)The secret was a statement, not a whine. I have no problems with being the way I am. :)

Well good for you, anonymous. I have no problems to pity such people, cause seriously, such people make me sadder than photos of abandoned little puppies in the rain or dead kittens something.

(Anonymous) 2007-03-11 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)By the way, I don't do the comparisons with the physical looks, I do it with the personalities and characters. Therefore, your argument about lines on pieces of paper is irrelevant.

No, I have not. Comparing real people to either fiction or totally unreachable stars (who could just be as fake as comic characters) really ain't my thing. Well, but then, maybe I did. When I was... 10 or something. Point given.
Is that the reason why you picked a pic with three standard anime-bishis with bedroom eyes, including a pink background with roses to point out their personalities? 8D Come on, that's fucking pathetic. Their "personalities" stay as fake as their appearance.

If you can't see that, you need to get out more.

She needs to learn that real people are not and cannot be like that. It's an unhealthy attitude.

I'd like to point out, not if they're written well. If written poorly, sure, one-dimensional characters exist. Writers who know what they're doing know that and avoid it.

In any case, my point is whether a character is shitty written or well-rounded he still is lacking the literally billions of features that make up REAL PEOPLE, and thus it is ridiculous to hold that standard.
In fact, they're not even in the same ballpark. It's like comparing an orange to a football stadium.
