I'm surprised you seem to think you're alone in that - I've seen so many people creaming themselves over 'OMG tender gay villain husbands!!!!' that I'm about ready to puke. I'm ready to learn to hack, so I can break into those people's computers and replace every audio file with the sound of Zsasz carving someone's face off.

By far not a problem unique to Craig Bond but yes, I get your assessment.

To be honest I'm not really enthusiastic about this new film in the way my interest was revived by Skyfall. That's because I've watched Spectre once because she was boring, he was boring...it was just fucking boring. And the "twist" that they said we'd got it wrong (but oh wait we hadn't because it actually was Blofeld all along) was boring and made no sense.

Dalton!Bond still edges him out for me, but yeah, he handily beats the rest of the Bonds. I always wished Dalton could have hung on one more movie so they could have been on screen together.

Imo Steve actually dying in IW would've been a genuine shock. Even when Tony got stabbed I was a bit like "wow, if they've actually gone there...?" until convenient Dr Strange.

Whereas none of the "real" deaths were as shocking as the writers seemed to think they were (they were all obvious, Gamora was the one I sort of only half-expected but in a way it was still obvious) and the dusting had little to no effect on me either because I knew they'd all be back.
