My no-knead bread faaaaaaaaaaailed, big time, so i'm gonna try again tomorrow. I think my house was just too cold and it didn't prove *at all*.

Otherwise, it's pretty and a bit sunny for once, and my allergies are *finally* dialing down, YAY!!!!!

Well, my job has put us back down to part time. I am not working today but apparently they let seven people go at the location I work at (out of about 100). My boss has told me there are not going to be any firings from my department but who knows.

Going to do research into what skills I can work on to find a remote job one day.

FINALLY got to a dentist about my tooth - I had completely forgotten about the other one I chipped. 2 fillings later this week. Glad to have this debacle done with.

I got myself a huge goose egg bruise on my elbow bc I tried to right myself while tripping and caught it on the counter

Doin' good. Back on the exercize train (it's me, tabata anon) after nearly a week off due to EPIC migraine / cramp combination, so... feeling accomplished! And so thankful that my head works again! And that I'm no longer hyper-aware of my ovaries! Life is very good, my contract has been extended a semester (yay!), none of the elderflower champagne I'm making has exploded (yet) this year...

Took the day off work, my lame hen to the vet for a bath, and got groceries. Gonna do one more store run and I think make broccoli soup because my body desperately needs green vegetables.

Been struggling with my health and these past few weeks has spiraled my healthcare into a tailspin. Every time I get a sore throat I start worrying I might be sick. My job is considered essential work and my workplace does health/temp screens. I called my boss the Thursday before last week because I woke up with a slightly sore throat (hindsight might have been because I had been training a new employee and had talked a lot more than usual that week). Boss told me to stay home until someone from work contacts me.
Work has been overloaded (as all places of work) so no one contacted me until today. Which is ok. Work has a 30 day emergency sick pay policy.
All last week my symptoms didn't get worse, and my sore throat went away so I thought that hey I could just tell my work contact that I may be ready to go back to work. But then today I woke up with a sore throat and small cough. Usually a sign of a cold for me. Temp is ok, no fatigue, lymph nodes not swollen or painful to touch and no earaches(both are super common for me when I catch a cold), no dizziness, no muscle aches.
I was googling my symptoms and then remembered my physical earlier this year. Dr said I might have underactive thyroid based on bloodwork, asked if I wanted to take meds. I didn't feel like I had any symptoms she was listing so I declined. I looked at different lists of symptoms for hypothyroidism today and I think I have it. I scheduled a video appointment with my dr on Friday so....we'll see.
But yeah for a couple months now I have been feeling sluggish and tired. And then these past 3ish weeks I've been feeling depressed and anxious. All of these symptoms I thought had to do with being overworked and dealing with the state of our world. But then I also can't handle cold weather as much as I used to, unless I get high on marijuana I don't have any appetite (that took awhile for me put together because I eat edibles almost every day), I have been struggling with using the bathroom (thought it was my diet), and then I saw a list for hypothyroidism symptoms with "hoarseness" on it.
So yeah! Symptoms of hypothyroidism come with their own shitty symptoms and all of it has been driving my mind crazy. Also, human health is so messy...wish people understood that so they'd all stop fucking armchair diagnosing me.

Doctor's appointment in the morning, vet appointment for my cat in the afternoon, toastmaster's meeting in the evening. And I'm hormonal and feeling icky and in pain and anti-social. Also, our microwave died at some point early this afternoon and won't be fixed until at least Friday.

Going to have a tuna sandwich and a glass of bailey's for dinner. Because we were going to do leftovers for dinner, but that's out because no microwave. And I need a drink.

Spock/Mccoy. Aside the fact that Kirk/Spock is THE traditional OTP for many many people, theee origin of 'slash' ... yeah, most fic that IS Spock/Mccoy is either untagged trio fic, or it involves either (or both) either having had prior relationships or current dissapointed pining for Kirk, and that's just ... not my jam :/

Like many people stuck at home, I've turned a bit more to online shopping than I usually do. Thought, heck, never used etsy before, why not support some people and their craftiness while they're also stuck crafting? (Supporting artists directly makes me feel a taaaaaaaaaaad less guilty about buying non-essnetials) This means my poor unsuspecting friends will recieve some very bizarre gifts in the near future. Like tiny knit figurines of their favourite characters, a lovely cushion featuring profane embroidery, a print of a bizarre tiger/unicorn hybrid...

What ridiculous things are the rest of you guilty of treating yourself/others to?
