Yeah, ReyLo really didn't work for me. Even if you could flip from full-on toxic to woobie in need of redemption in under 24 hours (subjective) there's a fuckton of development needed to really sell that for me. But I mostly did the adult thing and moved on to other stuff.

enemies to lovers works as a dynamic to me but it also it really requires the characters being together and interacting a lot over time to develop that relationship and meeting each other a few times during fights or whatever doesnt do that for me and i dont think with how much was going on in the movies they had the time

i know they apparently had a mind link but its only shown a few times so the audience doesnt get any believable development or understanding of their respective points of view

Yeah, I hate Kylo Ren and Reylo, but I only ever mention it on FS. I don’t have any rival ships for Rey or Kylo so I end up shrugging off a lot of anti-Reylo stuff as angry Rey/someone else shippers.

And actually, I had saved a music track called Sailor Moon Christmas (orgel version), which does come from the SMS movie, and will listen to it any time of the year.

If you really want Christmas, the SMR movie does have a brief Santa moment, lol.

Ooh, I remember this show! It was so cute and I really loved it, but if I remember correctly, it got shown at really weird times on Saturdays. Like six in the morning sometimes and then ten in the morning on other days. It was really weird and hard to figure out when it was gonna air. I think Shaman King suffered from a similar problem because they kept changing the air time. I randomly woke up one morning to find the episode had aired at like five in the morning!

I don't think I ever finished the anime, but I did read the manga and had fond memories of it. Then I decided to reread it and . . . didn't really like it. I think the only character I still liked was Nuriko. I read Genbu Kaiden at the same time and enjoyed it more than the original Fushigi Yugi.

It may be out there, but if you can't access it, it does feel like it's lost (though I guess "inaccessible" is a better word). I've spent years trying to find the Mon Colle Knights dub and I've only found a few bad quality episodes.

Well, Tuxedo Mask shows up dressed as Santa, so it's kinda Christmas-y? Also, I love this movie. It's my favorite of the Sailor Moon ones and I actually rewatched it yesterday.

I’m also a phan in my 30s who’s loved Phantom since I was 12. I would say that while there’s some great fic, the volume of fic in general seems lower for the size of the fandom as a whole than in some other fandoms I’ve been in, so the amount of really awesome fic is lower, as well. And since the fandom mostly took off after the ALW musical opened, a lot of early fic is moldering in zines, disappeared with old mailing lists, geocities and angelfire shrines, the phantomoftheopera.com forums, LJ purges, and so on. And even now, more is posted to ff.net than Ao3 since the fandom predates Ao3 by more than 20 years.

I still don't like him (more of his "ASK TO MARRY EVERY GIRL I SEE REGARDLESS OF THEIR DISCOMFORT OR TASTE) but the English dub made his voice at least a bit less annoying.

Eh, I think it's fair to say though that "likely in the studio archives" still isn't a certain. For example, I can recall some old syndicated cartoons I used to watch in the late 90s that never had any kind of physical release and sure, maybe they still exist in an archive somewhere so they aren't "lost"...but we don't know that. The studio that made them has since changed hands multiple times, it's perfectly possible that the materials for these series got lost in the shuffle. We only know that things like Doctor Who episodes are truly lost because it's popular enough that a bunch of people care about the missing episodes. But that doesn't mean that shows other people refer to as lost can't be, in fact, actually truly lost just because no one's ever cared enough to officially declare them such.

Weirdly, people have sort of softened on Showgirls (https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/showgirls-elizabeth-berkley-paul-verhoeven-you-dont-nomi-documentary-a9407086.html).

I liked Total Recall, I think Starship Troopers was great because it worked as both a satire and an action movie for me, and I find Basic Instinct unsettlingly interesting, but I couldn't watch all of Robocop, the violence was too much. I think you're probably right, though, about Hollywood. I think you're correct that if the original studio has copies then "lost" isn't the correct term. but if the IP holder doesn't know....then that's appropriately lost regardless of whether there is somebody out there with a private copy.
