Did some job applications and set up a job interview for tomorrow. Did laundry. Watched some Doctor Who.

Went for iced coffee and pastry this morning, it was good. An opera cake, mmmm! Then I started reading a fic, got about 3 chapters in and decided it wasn't for me. Now I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner. I should really start planning this shit. It's still too hot to cook or do much outside so I'm thinking Indian takeout, like chicken korma and rice with naan, maybe some kheer for dessert.

watched a lot of TV, went out briefly to my favorite cafe to get a takeout piece of cake, drank a lot of tea, tried to make it clear to somebody online that I haven't seen any of my friends in three months because of this virus scare, listened to a couple of Ramones albums.

Worked. Came home and mourned my plants. We had a terrible windstorm last night and I am not sure some of them are going to recover. :(

Took most of the day off because I need to use up a bunch of personal time before I lose it. I did work a bit, even went into the office for a bit for the first time in weeks (I've been working remotely). There was something I had to pick up and I'd been having trouble accessing a server. Then I put on a mask and ran a bunch of errands - I needed stamps and groceries and to deposit some checks at the credit union, which only just re-opened its lobby (the drive-through was open the whole pandemic, but I've never used that and wasn't sure of the etiquette). I was going to run to the pet store but I just realized they're closing early these days and there's no more time! Guess that's a job for tomorrow.

Now I need to figure out some places to donate my stimulus check. I'm definitely giving part of it to the main local food bank and the local PBS station, but I'd like to see if there's a local bail fund or social justice org I can donate to as well.

Woke up late, did some laundry, some shopping, and am laughing about one of my current crush's obsessed stans and their idiotic drama.

Slept most of it, actually. I was up until early this morning, and I finally got a decent amount of sleep for the first time in quite awhile, so that was nice. It's amazing how much better I feel when I actually get some good sleep. I'm hoping it can happen again tonight and tomorrow I can wake up rested and actually get some stuff done that I've needed to do for awhile but just didn't have the energy for.

I was at the grocery store and they had General Tso's Chicken flavored ripple-cut potato chips. I can't decide whether they taste good or just weird.

Went to work, worked. It was super hot and dry out so I feel kind of awful and have heat rash where my thighs rub together which is gross. I bought ice cream for my coworkers and brought some food out to a homeless couple that hang around outside my work.

It was our security guard’s last day and I hope her next assignment works out for her; her life seems kind of chaotic and stressful and was interfering with her job so I think my boss had her transferred, but she’s good at it when life isn’t raining shit, and since we don’t have any say in who our guards are, our next one might suck and not just be kind of flakey because her life sucks.

The phoebe chicks nesting by my back door are almost ready to leave the nest, I think. We have feral and stray cats, hawks, owls, and raccoons around so I hope all the fledglings make it; there were four eggs but I only count three babies now.

I have to make work lunches for the next couple days and I don’t want to turn the oven on because I don’t have AC and it’s hot in here.

Currently politics, news, badwomensanatomy and insanepeoplefacebook are my main ones. I've also been following one for my city lately to stay on top of what's going on with the protests and everything. There's also infowarriorrides, but I haven't been there in awhile.

In the past I've liked relationships, offmychest and confession but haven't been to any of them in awhile.

And explainlikeimfive and outoftheloop if there's something going on you don't understand.

Oh, and nosleep is always good but lately life has been horrifying enough and I haven't felt the need to add to it. Also unresolvedmysteries (note, it's unREsolvedmysteries, unsolvedmysteries without the re is for the TV show) for true crime stuff.
