I want an RPG myself....

I hold the Batman canon in high esteem, and yet the explosion of wank and fandom stupidity was one of the most entertaining things I'd ever seen on the internet. Yeah, there will be dumb fanits writing self-insert fanfic with Rorschach or insisting they're just like him, among other things, but this too shall pass. Until then, what can you do but laugh and let it go?

The movie looks like it's going to be kickass, and even if it isn't, the fandom will still see a boom...and then things will get real good, as you said...

When he was made, they found something wrong with him and threw him away, like a piece of rubbish, into an old dark storeroom. Damn. Harsh. But if you ask me, FF has been going downhill since 7. 6 is the best; nothing after has been able to compare.

I really love Kingdom Hearts, and I think you're wrong and it has nothing to do with the shitiness of the FF series. That had failed a long, long time ago and they're just thrusting their popular fail!characters into KH because they think the fans will get a kick out of it.

You really think KH is the cause of the decline in quality for the FFs?

Yeah, it's definitely not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it was a fun game, and even though it was meant for a younger demographic (of which I think I was the tail end of when I first played KH1), it presented some themes very well.

If you really want to blame something, blame Squaresoft becoming Square-Enix or Nomura's presence in almost everything now, or the fact that RPGs have to keep up with other games with flashy graphics, or something. Or at least go back to complaining about FF7 being overrated again. I personally like reading Sephiroth v. Kefka arguments. *gets popcorn*
