Tumblr issues

I haven't been on Tumblr in ages, and I went on today and had some issues with the new layout. Has anyone else had issues with "view on dashboard" when you are in an entry? I click on it and it goes to my dashboard, but it doesn't show me the entry.

Are others having this issue? Or is there a fix for it?

I'm not having that issue personally, but I am having LOTS of others.

And the New X-Kit team think that tumblr will quickly patch out any ways people have of accessing the old dashboard and... I have a lot of problems with the new one. And I'm not the sort that complains when a site's UI changes.

Tumblr's been undergoing some weird issues a lot lately. It's partly to do with xKit but that's not the only reason. I was having an issue with not being able to see or access my queue for days, so I contacted support about it, they said they'd get back to me and after a few days everything went back to normal. Their only advice was "have you tried disabling xKit?" which I'd already done.

I still haven't gotten the new layout, I don't think, so it's just an odd time for me. I will say that I am super not a fan of the 'posts we think you missed' thing - messing up the chronology of my feed makes me angry to a wildly disproportionate degree!

I haven't been able to go beyond the login of Tumblr on my desktop for the past 2 weeks. I was able to get on it through my tablet through chrome instead of the tumblr app and yeah they have completely changed the layout.

I can't go through my likes unless I scroll (and it's infinite scroll- I have over 2000 likes) and most of the posts on my dash are old. It's a complete trainwreck

Pet adorableness

What adorable things do your pets do or have they done lately?


My cat likes to put herself between the blinds and the window in my mom's office to watch birds. She's recently taken to sunning her belly by laying herself sideways against the window, and it is the cutest thing ever.

Awww! My dog likes to sunbathe in a sunny spot as part of his morning routine. He follows where the sun shines through the window.

There's one cat that really likes to roll around when he's in a specific box. He'll tear it apart. D:
Also we have chicks and they really like to peck at my ring.

Your cat is so cute!

My dog seems to like bird watching. He just sits on his sunny spot outside and watches them drink his water and eat his food. Just small birds though. There was a crow that tried to drink out of his water bowl and he chased it away.

My dog is not a morning person. Sometimes I'll wake her up to go for her walk she'll gently, ever so gently, hold my forearm in her teeth and look up at me like "not today".

It's weird, she has no idea how strong her paws are but she's incredibly aware of using a soft mouth, to the point where when she'll play-bite my nose when she's feeling cheeky and I won't even feel her teeth.

LMAO, that's the thing I get such a kick out of with cats. They will find the weirdest ways to sit or lay in or on something :p. It's not enough to just sit in the window, no, she's got to squeeze between the blinds and the window itself.

Our cats love to sit in the window and look outside and get some sun and whatnot, too. And sometimes they'll see my mom and me either leaving or coming back from someplace and tilt their heads like, "How'd you get down there?" (we live in a second floor apartment).

What do you consider a good musical and why? Are there any musicals you think are terrible?

Bad: Cats.
I love the Eliot poems. I love musicals in general. Blending the two just has never ever worked for me and I cannot comprehend its popularity.
Good: On the Town
Great songs, fun characters, zany plot, all 'round good fun, and a collapsing dinosaur. What's not to like?

I have pretty low standards, I think - if I'm having a nice time, it's good enough for me. I'll forgive a poor plot for good music, and I'll forgive at least mediocre music for an enjoyable plot. One thing I can't forgive?
When even my undiscerning ear can detect the autotune. I mean, they have to be going pretty heavy with it for me to notice, and within a few bars of Emma Watson first appearing as Belle, I could notice.

Which musical do you wish had a filmed version?

hiking

Finally went on a hike for the first time in a very VERY long time. While we were on lockdown, I'd started a regular workout and so I thought the thing would be a piece of cake. And yeah- as far as being able to keep up with my friend and do the whole thing without ever being winded or having to ask for breaks it was awesome. But... omg. So much of it was hill-y. So many inclines. How. HOW does walking up and down inclines result in the sorest arse I have ever had. I can feel muscles I never knew existed. Is this a thing? Do hikers all have fantastic arses? Should I be doing this more?
