I started watching some of his old stuff because of House and I watched 101 Dalmations just to see him. But I love him more in a Bit of Fry and Laurie than I could ever love him as House.

157. I don't know, I saw an absolutely gorgeous black Sailor Pluto cosplayer a few years ago. I tend to like different interpretations of a character in cosplay; you can personalise a favourite series.

134. Holy shit, it's Yellowbeard! ... Such a wonderful cast. If only they'd been given a good script. :-( Favorite part of the movie: Peter Cook's drunken nobleman. I think he had the right idea.

101: I hated Enterprise but I've had friends who've loved it. I think it really sucks that you can't just enjoy what you enjoy. For the record I'd rather watch most of the newer Treks then the original too.

Secret poster admits that John Shea as Lex Luthor was WIN, and one of her favourite interpretations of the character ever. So yeah, it wasn't all bad. :D (And Perry and Jimmy were okay, too. Just--why did the main characters and the plots have to suck? :'( )

That sucks. I'm still a fan of the original and like the new ones well enough, but you should be able to like what you like without people jumping on you. (And after witnessing a bad experience in one forum, seeing Enterprise and its fans bashed all the time really pisses me off.) Though staying in the fandom purely for the culture is, I think, a perfectly good reason. IMO the Trek fandom is one of the best fandoms out there, not least because the fans are every bit as interesting as the actual material. (Confession: I've skipped new episodes of shows I love because I was so caught up in reading arguments over canon or placement of naecelles. I love Trekkies. xP)

119. Heh. McCoy's been my far and away favorite for bit longer than that, but I've been on the Karl Urban train since his casting. He's like the only cast member I was never really worried about (and the ever-optimistic voice inside me wants to say "hey, if nothing else, at least a Trekkie since childhood got to live his lifelong dream!') but that trailer threw me for a loop. Not cool. I mean, I'm still hopeful about his being cast, but it was a very WTF kinda scene to choose as his only appearance in the trailer. If it turns out he sucks, I'll be one busted up fan. :(

(An interesting note, but in my eyes, all these actors are all total unknowns. Aside from Urban in LotR and Saldana's little PotC role, I hadn't seen anything that they'd been in. I've actually been introduced to a couple new fandoms through this casting.)

And 129 is a repeat. Why have there been so many repeats lately?

I love all the Star Trek secrets lately.

McCoy is my favorite. Well, McCoy and Spock. And I'm totally apprehensive about the new movie. I don't think Karl Urban will be able to a hold a candle to DeForest Kelley.

I'm bothered enough by the fact that make up/wardrobe didn't give Karl Urban blue contacts.

Yeah... that was a weird choice on their part. Regular color-contacts are no good on dark-eyed people, as far as I know, but you'd think movie makeup artists should be able to do it better. D: But they've said that there'll be an explanation in-movie about Kirk's eyes being blue, so maybe we'll get one for McCoy, too. One can only hope.

And I love all these Star trek secrets, too. <333

119: Bones is Teh Awesome and no one can tell me differently, dammit. I am already not considering this new movie canon, but I'm curious what they're going to do with all the characters.

While it's not quite the same thing, a few years ago, I cosplayed as a female version of a male comic book character at a convention. I was a little unsure of it at first, but once I started mingling in the crowds, it turned out that lots of people LOVED it because it was such a different and creative take on the character.

So as both a Sailor Moon fan and a sometimes cosplayer, I'm with everyone else...go for it, and don't let your skin color get in the way! You'd be cosplaying as a character you love, and that's what's most important here. You may even find that more people will appreciate and enjoy it than you think, the hell with the naysayers.

59. I had no idea the show was so hated but after reading the comments here and this secret, it makes me very sad. :[ The show was cheesy and had a lot of eye rolling moments but I loved it. Until the last season. Then it went down hill.

I'm sorry. :'( It wasn't that I hated it, just that it was...surprisingly unsatisfying. Ah well--I'm glad somebody likes it, somewhere. Yay Superman. :))

Yeah, apparently they exist but I don't see them. Hence why I'll only read the scans and then back off FAR FAR AWAY. (It's hard to do that though if your twelve-year-old sister LOVES it though.)

But it's not just nostalgia with the books for me, though – I'm just a Christian that likes to dissect all the deeper connotations of the books that the films can't necessarily do on-screen.
