177. Ollie/Dinah is my favorite DCU het pairing, even over Question/Huntress and the smoking hot that is Batman/Catwoman. 113. That's assuming that everyone in every fandom is always happy. Come on. There should be some type of internet/fandom rule that states "the more people with in a fandom that come to agree on a subject, the higher the probability that other people will disagree thus proving that FANDOM IS NOT A HIVE MIND. Well most of the time." Hopefully someone will make that sentence structure less crappy but the point stands.

132. I always thought that he was a lampshade-ish type to the average shonen character much like Honey is a lampshape to the moe-character-that-is-actually-legal. Not that it a reason to like him, but once I thought about it that way it made him easier to handle for a while.

156. Tricky tricky. (Well, I'm not going to lie that it would be interesting to see a character who's use to being a lord suddenly turn into a lady.) On one hand, if he can turn into any gender and/or ethnicity why hadn't he already. Since he can't control his regenerations, maybe there could be some type of outside forces that contribute to his appearance. Maybe, his genes mimic the race that is in the majority and since he always ends up in England...(Or producers/writers/whoever felt that the public majority couldn't handle a black doc. *hunches shoulders*)

From what I can see in your secret, she seems to be embarrassed and doesn't want to offend the people from the countries she ships.
On the topic of 'stealing' fanart: Who cares. If someone likes the art, they're gonna ask around for source and there's ALWAYS someone who knows the site. I seriously don't see the harm in saving and reposting fanart as long as you don't claim it as your own.

It's a cultural difference I've noticed with regards to online attitudes relating to fanart and images. It would be nice to think that people would be able to respect the fan artist's wishes with regards to what they want done with their work, and who can access it.

A lot of fanart sites in my fandom, at least, require a password/code to enter the site (and I know other fandoms do, as well; it relates to subject matter, the fandom itself, the level of comfort the fan artist has etc.). It's a very standard attitude to hold with regards to fanart in Japan. (Likewise with copyrighted images - you are incredibly unlikely to come across a Japanese fansite that uses official images as a layout base since it is illegal. Hence, fanart will be used).

A lot of the people who place passwords etc. on their sites to access the site do so for a reason - the idea that any Joe Blogg's can access the fanart is not something that I personally know many of the fan artist's to be comfortable with.

Respecting the artist's wishes is really just common courtesy.

I'm glad I'm not going to be alone in this. I'm not far in the game but all that stuff with their shadows and the "Yes, Chie is my prince!" thing and the fact that they're so close and apparently getting closer now that they've aired their issues... yeah I ship it lots. :P It does seem to be a very shippable game, though I only just finished rescuing Kanji.

Yeah, funny thing about that, how almost none of the females in the show actually think men are vile. Let's see, as of season 4, there's, what? Kanako? Yeah, woah, look at all those men-hating Lesbians.

I don't think this deserves subs for trying to give people the wrong impression.

Again, we had Sachiko in season 1, and now Kanako. In a fairly large cast of almost all female characters, that isn't a huge number, and most of the other females probably don't think that this is a productive mind set. Yumi doesn't want Kanako to think like this, and Sachiko is now trying to help Kanako rethink her views.

As for exactly why Kanako thinks like that, I dunno, maybe you've read the novels and know more than I do, but it doesn't sound like it's because "SHE'S LESBIAN AND THEREFORE MUST HATE MEN RAWR". It sounds more like she has issues with her father, and, her father being a major male figure in her life, she projects her hatred of him onto all other males. Whether Kanako is Lesbian or not (since, yuri anime or not, probably not all girls in the show are actually gay) probably actually has little to do with her misandry.

I actually think that the way The Boss's gender works with her character is pretty cool. I don't think her particular blend of archetypes would have worked as well with a guy or a younger, "hot chick with a gun" sort of action heroine.
Considering the thin fourth wall in the MGS universe, I'd be afraid to speak too badly of her even if I wasn't that fond of her.

While I hate those types of shows, I only really question someone when they think those shows are real and/or says something along the lines of "I can't believe he/she said that!" or "He/she is such a [insert insult here]" about one of the people. Their personalities, lines, and actions are about as fabricated for the show as the characters of a typical fiction series.
