113. Are you new to fandom? I mean, any fandom. "Why is this fandom never happy?" Yeah, we're such an isolated incident. Fandom in general, often being formed of a collective of individuals, is never fully happy because, hey guess what--you can't please everyone.
Me, I'm not crazy about him because I was hopping for someone at least a wee bit older or a red-head, but I'm looking forward to seeing what we get.

165. I'm inclined to agree. I liked it, but the people saying that the next movie can't possible top it. Um. If it has a story that flows properly, with rest scenes between action scenes and a climax that is not topped by many previous parts of the movie...it'll top it.

I haven't had time to read all of the comments, but in case you don't know, what you have is synesthesia. Synesthesia is a phenomenon where your brain makes associations between the senses that most people's don't. It can come in lots of combinations (letters and colors, sounds and colors, feeling and taste, etc), including things that aren't really "senses" per se, like assigning personalities to numbers, days of the week, etc. But anyway, the point is you definitely aren't crazy, and you also aren't alone. Lots of extremely cool people have had synesthesia, especially artists, poets, and composers. :)

(Sorry if you already knew/didn't care about all of this, but its the topic of a paper I'm writing and I find it absolutely fascinating.)

138 isn't synesthesia. It's creativity. Half the people I know did something like this with numbers or letters or furniture or something as kids. It made math homework a hell of a lot more tolerable.

Oh my goodness! I thought I was the only one and crazy - I never assigned numbers, but I did do this to memorise the multiplication tables.


Let's see, 1 was the creater of all things, and it's consort was 2 (genders never specified, though 1 was a girl probably...)

Now, for this to make sense - every number after 12 or so really meant a diner - and each of the numbers met each other there, or brought them to another 'diner' to get there. Each diner was a numbers birthplace, and seriously important...squares were also important as they were where numbers 'discovered' themselves.

3 was a trickster...4 wanted desperately to be like her role model 8 who was a saint...5 was a taxi driver, guaranteed to always hit the fives and tens...6 was the main character, shy, loving and intelligent...7 was a rogue, harboring feelings for 6 but never stating them...8 was a saint...9 was a Grim Reaper...10 was death itself...11 was heaven...12 was the mystery of what lay beyond...

1. He remains male because he's a man - I'm a firm believer in the idea that Time Lords can't change sex when they regenerate.
2. As far as I'm aware, they don't choose actors to play the Doctor by their race. I'd rather they cast a white actor who they think is perfect for the role then they cast a black actor just because everyone's accusing them of being racist.
I do, however, hate it when people actually OBJECT to the idea of a black doctor, which some people did recently.

One should also note that, in just about every other way, NewWho is very tolerant.
