I don't know all the oldwho canon, so maybe I'm totally off on this, but how do we know that he can change gender, race, etc. Has it ever specifically said? Because if not, why would we think the Doctor could? In 10 out of 10 tries, he's become a white male so maybe the canon is that he just isn't capable of changing those parts of him. Although regarding gender and race individually, I would believe him being able to change race a lot more than changing gender. [/ramble]

It's never been explicitly stated, but it's kinda always been obvious. The Doctor has always been a white male. The Master has always been a white male (except for when he was like a corpse or something). Romana's case is a bit more sketchy because her end result was another white female but during her regeneration, we see her regenerate multiple times in one go, at will, into different species and races but I'm not sure this can really be taken greatly into consideration since it's the only time we've ever seen something of the sort happen.

She was always female during her regenartions, though.

103: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Oh, I love you, OP for a number of reasons. 1, for submitting a secret that doesn't involve freakin' Stein. 2, for making a KID secret, who I'm absolutely bursting with love for, and 3, because I agree entirely.
I'm obsessive compulsive too, and used to be really sensitive about admitting it to people. And even though it's used mostly for comedy in the series, Kid makes me feel a lot better and more comfortable telling people, and a little more badass :D

She's gorgeous, passionate, ambitious, driven and has grown so much over the course of the series. For all her Queen Bee games in season one she is now shown to have a kind-hearted and gentle side, and is, I believe, actually the most loving person in the whole series.

There's a reason my Blair Waldorf icon has the tag 'perfect'.

When it first aired I thought Jeffrey was the douche in the situation. By now, though ... well, at least he never made any bones about being a jerk. She gave him nothing to work with and then cried because he got mad at her for it. I avoid that episode like the plague when it reruns now because they both grate on my last damn nerve.
