Firstly, you are hilarious and I love you both (OP and angry responder)
Secondly, and this is the more pressing issue - what's wrong with bagged milk?! I actually think it's really cool, and whenever I go to a country where bagged milk is available, that is the sort I buy (admittedly, storage is a little tricky, and forget about trying to drink some on the bus home...)
Countries that do not offer the option of milk in bags are quite clearly inferior.
In short - I JUDGE YOUR COUNTRY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BAGGED MILK.

At least buy the second set. The later episodes are rather well done, in my opinion.

Have you bought any of the DVDs (Japanese or otherwise)? I don't mean to be a bitch, but if you're a big enough fan to be indignant about the dub, you're big enough to be buying it to support it. Costs money to make these things, etc etc. I'm a much bigger fan of the Japanese than I am the English version of Ouran, but I still bought both sets even though I had all the episodes fansubbed on my computer, simply because I think Ouran is good enough to support. (: I mean, the English dvds come with the Japanese version already on it, so yeah. :P

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I agree with what other people have been saying- the redone intro and ending songs are atrocious. THOSE they needed to keep in the original Japanese... or at least find someone who could sing to sing it. JUST SAYIN'.

170. That was one of my favorite songs as a kid! Probably my absolute favorite, for some span of time. I went to see the stage musical recently, and I realized for the first time that it's actually one of the less awesome songs in that movie. I think it strikes such a chord with kids because it's an expression of the characters' youthful idealism and naivety and shameless immaturity. And it's prime nostalgia material for just that reason! (Now my favorite Lion King song is "Be Prepared." What can I say - I grew into a villain fan.)

I have a theory for that.

Initially she was billed as the major star of the series. Then the BBC found out she was jumping ship to ITV for L&O: London. They got pissy, as Auntie often does when her stars go to the Dark Side, and swapped her out of the 'Anya-reluctant-doctor' and into 'friend-of-Anya-that-dies-in-the-first-ep'. I firmly believe the two actresses had their roles reversed.

Of course, I have no proof of this but it would not surprise me knowing the BBC's tendancies.

I adore the dub.
I wasn't really a fan of a few of the episodes in the subbed version, but with the dub I feel as if it's impossible for me to hate any single episode.
It's not because I love the voice actors (I definitely don't like Vic, and J. Michael was a new talent for me.), but it's more like I can feel how much work the staff put into Ouran while enjoying every second/minute/hour that I watch it.
Maybe that's presumptuous of me, but that's how I honestly feel.

A couple of weeks ago I got curious and decided to google pictures of Bryan Fuller to see what he looked like, the first thing that popped into my head when I saw that picture was that they would make an awesome couple. I was like "WTF, self?! You're not even a Wonderfalls/Pushing Daisies fan", it was seriously disturbing how fast my mind went there.

The Gunslinger is one of the shortest books, and the first one, and you could stop there if you really wanted. Okay, I mean, you don't have to, anon. But I never planned to finish the series initially-- I almost can't believe I did, it took me months-- and it's one of my favorite book series.
