1) Huh?
2) Which Zodiac?
3) What?
4) Why would it?

Uh... I don't know much about born again christianity, but... does it change your birth date?

Re: Does becoming a born again Christian change

(Anonymous) 2021-04-04 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Having been raised in a pretty conservative Christian household, uh... definitely not. Everyone I knew in conservative Christianity took "born again" as entirely figurative, not literal.

Also I think if you were that conservative a Christian, astrology was considered witchcraft, if not Satanic, so it wouldn't matter. :P

Re: Does becoming a born again Christian change

(Anonymous) 2021-04-04 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. No.

Being "Born again" is completely and utterly spiritual. It's metaphysical. Not physical.

(this is 100% why I hate Christian jargon. This along with Salvation. And "Being saved.")

Look, most conservative Christians find the zodiac, any zodiac, to be "evil" (b/c they don't understand it) and will quote the Old Testament at you about "not looking to the stars for your future." Like, the only thing that has a worse reputation with them is tarot (you have to be channeling demons to understand it, like what, no,) and sometimes DnD. (Or Harry Potter. That was funny actually.)

Heeeeeee!
I think it should. I think there should also be a Xian zodiac, like stations of the cross, only slightly more esoteric.

(Way to miss the sarcasm/joke, F!S)

It's interesting how this Easter joke was taken at face value by some posters.

How are we doing today?

(Anonymous) 2021-04-04 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Had some discounted chocolate hot cross buns earlier and that was the highlight of my day.

Life in bad shape. Had an argument with someone I love. My ill health is destroying everything. If it weren't for my responsibilities, tonight would have been the night I took an overdose.

My Easter plans unexpectedly involved lying in a dark room clutching my head, in addition to the usual clutching of my stomach. :/

Got through virtual church service anyway, and I think the instant coffee (not even mixed into water, just a spoon full of the powder; I can't afford migraine meds so ODing on caffeine is how I self-medicate) I swallowed down started to kick in a couple hours later so I made myself go take a walk in this gorgeous sunny weather no matter how painful it was.

Saw some pretty flowers along the way and got a shiny flower crown Chansey already, so Pokemon Go is at least being nice to me.

Was okay this morning. But a migraine started around noon. It is a pretty bad one. But we had agreed to marathon the Mandalorian today. Mom is really excited about it. So dad basically pressured me to stay around because mom hasn't been feeling that well recently. All I really want is sleep. And dad is doing work and keeps procrastinating, so we're watching judge Judy instead, and her voice is so grating right now, I just want to throw things at the screen.

Sorry. Just. How is it not obvious that I'm having one of the bad migraines with the mood-affecting and other side effects and really want to be alone? I'm not doing a great job of faking it.

Trying to learn more about being an open person. I always wanted some of those relationships people have with their friends but never nailed it. And yesterday I learned I could have Asperger's, which, cool.
I can look at people and have short conversations, I know when to hold my tongue, but deeper relationships have mostly been a loss to me. The internet has helped immensely, especially without the pressure to talk every day.

It's such a wide spectrum.

I'm having another shingles outbreak. :C

It's not all bad, though! Easter candy goes on sale tomorrow and if all goes according to plan, I should be getting my medical marijuana card this week. :D

I’m having some much needed downtime. I feel lazy and drifty and so so glad I don’t have to go back to work for another few days. When I’m not sleeping, I’m sleepily brainstorming fandom crossover parody songs.

The bad: I had to work (actually I am still working)

The good: I made a chicken gumbo and I haven't tried it yet but it seems like it came out pretty good so that's positive

As always, doing slower than I'd like but at least managing to keep my head just above the water. Just barely. Small victories.

Movies and/or shows that were your favorite as a kid, but not so much now.

I use to be obsessed with the Alf Movie and cartoon series as a kid, but they weird me out too much now.

New Anime Season Starting Monday

[personal profile] ill_omened 2021-04-04 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
What we all watching?

Most interesting three for me:

86 - Love military shit and recall the LN getting lots of hype back in the day.
Megalo Box Season 2 - Original was easily the sleeper hit of the season and a refreshing more adult anime in stylings that feels pretty rare these days.
Pretty Boy Detectives Club - Shaft.

Probably pick a couple on top of that based on hype.

Currently randomly thinking about Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders. Seasons 1 & 2 are on YouTube and have proven a great way to enjoy Easter drunk with.
