Well said. I can't stand Gwen for exactly those reasons. She is a terribly character, terribly written and a terrible person. I hate the way she always hangs on Jack even though she's married. She doesn't deserve Rhys.

She has been terribly written.

Sometimes I really like Gwen, but the way she treated Rhys hasn't been rectified in the show yet and I do hold that against her character. It's so frustrating because I think Eve Myles is a wonderful actor and she's so damn lovely - all those contradictions I feel when seeing a picture of Gwen!

See, I agree they had chemistry in that scene, but I don't get why that would lead to shipping. I mean, really you can ship whatever you want, I'm not trying to say you shouldn't, just that I don't understand it.

It wouldn't make any sense story wise. I don't have a problem with bad chemistry dictating a story (as in two people who were supposed to be together but the actors don't have chemistry so they don't), but I don't like it when storylines are altered to provide a vehicle for chemistry regardless of whether or not it makes sense. If that made any sense.

Like, Buffy and Spike. Great chemistry so they decided to stick them together romantically instead of the frenemies they had been. The storyline they came up with made me hate both characters, who had previously been two of my favorites.
