149. I see both Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters and Generation Next on your list, but not 5D's? Can I just say that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it? Our fandom is very lively!

We have weekly, late night discussions over the latest episode over at playthedamncard, our fansubber is dedicated and releases scripts quickly; our dub is hilarious in places and surprisingly close to canon in others (and sometimes both simultaneously!)

We have actively-being-published fanfiction, and if you ship het or slash (BOTH KINDS), there's something for you. If you don't ship anything at all, that works too! We also have gen fic, and more is being produced all the time.

All of the characters are dynamic and, with very few exceptions, are likable. Hell, we even have significant female villains, and NOT EVERYTHING REVOLVES AROUND THE CARD GAME.

If you want / need an actual plot kick-start, I can hit you with that, too. :] most everyone I know who's watched long enough for the meat of the plot to kick in loves this show -- even people who never liked either YuGiOh franchise!

There's this running joke I've been a party to where Zak teaches Malia and Sasha to be ninjas and Amy doesn't approve at all and Rahm thinks it's the cutest thing in the world and then they grow up and Zak is all crushing horribly on the Obama girls because dude, how could you not, but meanwhile they're sneaking through the ceilings of the West Wing spying on members of Congress and threatening them with sharp pointy objects under Zak's careful grooming. Meanwhile Ilana and her fierce boots are just fierce. It's horribly saccharine and adorable and based on no canon material whatsoever but there you go. You're not alone.

Also I don't understand why there are so many people who are like EW NO WAIT UNTIL THEY'RE LEGAL. I don't see the secret saying OMG AND I TOTALLY ENVISION THEM SEXXORING EACH OTHER OVER A TABLE!! or whatever, merely that they ship them. Have none of you been to elementary schools where girls get all catty over who sits next to the cute boy at lunch and gets to hold his hand during recess? If the secret poster is going so far as to stalk any of the kids, then that gets creepy, but merely shipping kids shouldn't be any different than, say, people who write actively for Card Captor Sakura or Pokemon, and shouldn't be any more or less creepy than other types of RPS (which is a whole other can of worms).

124. How exactly does one spam a final smash? Anyway, if he/she's spamming the "HIYAYAYAYA", use distance attacks or jump over Pit and attack him from behind. I rarely if ever use that move because it leaves you utterly vulnerable. Also, Pit may be able to fly long distances, but he's also light as hell. Smash him so hard he zooms off and has no chance of recovery. Pit's not some magically invincible character. I only stick with him because I've been in love with the character for twenty years or so.

142. Everything about Family Guy post-revival really bothers me. I've never seen something deteriorate as awfully as that show has.

125. I never saw it as love. I think they're pretty hot for each other (the whole "wanting to taste it" scene in DMC thing) but I don't think it's love. Jack obviously cares about Elizabeth in some way in spite of what she did to him so I'd say if they were going to be anything it'd be fuck buddies. I do think Jack had more chemistry with Elizabeth than Will, but when it comes to Will even a plank of wood would have more chemistry with Elizabeth!

I liked Simon/Kaylee, mostly because of the contrast. (He's all smooth and cultured, she's a grungy-yet-cute mechanic.) But Mal/Inara I agree would be total fail. They live in such different headspace and I don't think he would be okay with the way she sees relationships. It just wouldn't work.

113. Grilo squicks me out too. But seriously, the majority of fic on LJ is not about them together. The pairing fic is mostly Mag/Marni or Amber/Luigi (mostly mine, I admit). Try repofiction for non-Grilo stuff.
