Exhibit A: Burn Notice, on USA network. It is hilarious, thoughtful, intelligent television. It's about Michael Westen, former spy, trying to get his life back after he's burned and dumped in Miami.

Exhibit B: That's Carla, bane of Michael Westen's existence (as far as we can tell at this juncture, anyway). She's ruthless, but her true level of evil remains open for debate.

I usually am only interested in gen, or even if a ship is explored, I don't mind if it isn't just about them necking by the end (it always feels like it's some drama which leads up to sex/making out)

I attempted a fanfic a while back and it was completely gen, and actually got a pretty decent following but I began to really dislike the fandom for other reasons.

I need to find a fandom thats worth doing this for again...
