I do that all - the - time, OP. I can read and ignore the SPaG errors. But if I like a story well enough to reread (and rereading is a comfort zone for me), I paste to Word, fix the SPaG so that I can read comfortably without needing to ignore the irritations, then send it to my e-reader. It gives me comfort (making those changes is like knitting, for me) and doesn't hurt the author at all. So go ahead, and have fun!
