same! I also think that she's not a bad person. I actually sided with that anon who helped women shelter that didn't accept not transitioned trance people.
JKR is also wrong as she's a celebrity and should take care of what she writes, especially as she has no idea about trance people and issues they face.

To be trans is to receive that harassment daily if you're at all visible, TERF scum. I've watched a trans woman friend of mine who's trying to be a streamer be hate raided, receive anonymous phone calls with death threats, etc. for over a week now. But you don't care about that because your goddess of Harry Poopstain is receiving death threats and can afford security whereas this friend of mine can't.

Trans. It's a prefix meaning through or across, or "on the other side". So like transfer or transport means to carry across. Transparent and translucent describe light going "through" something. Transaltantic means across the Atlantic ocean or "on the other side of" the Atlantic ocean. So transgender means, kind of basically, their gender is misaligned/other than what they were assigned at birth.

The opposite, by the way, is "cis", which isn't used in as many words but means "on the same side", so if you are cisgender, your gender is the same as what it was assigned at your birth.
