Nah. I'm not sure specifically what an imagine is. But if it's like, "Hey it'd be cool if there was a fic of [fandom] about [thing] where [this] happens.", no one owes someone else credit for that.

Nevermind that for the amount of stuff I scroll past on many websites, things get stuck in my brain and may come out later and I have no idea where the inspiration came from.

It'd be different if you wrote the fic and they basically copied it word for word.

Yeah I don't get this. I'm gonna side-eye people who write child-Rin and Sesshoumaru. I'm not gonna side-eye people who write adult-Rin and Sesshoumaru.

Adults have agency and the ability to properly consent. Just because they WERE a child once does not make them a child now unless there's some sort of developmental delay going on.

For most fanart, I don't really get it either. The entire layout of AO3 does not really work that well for art.

But I think, at least some of the works tagged there, will just be fics with art included. Which might be one reason to post on AO3: If you do art for a fic, you and the author can link to 'works inspired by'.

Another reason might be that the artists want a place to collect and post their NSFW art, since many platforms don't allow that anymore.
