There's a lot of kinks I don't get but I can see why somebody would like them. But this one I just do not get at all.

I get that being a guilty pleasure-- I fell down a rabbit hole reading some because a writer I'd liked a fic from had written a lot of the genre, and I'm always into nonsexual kink, especially with caretaking, but like... it's a tricky thing for me, because it's hard to find for my fave character without diapers coming into it, and the adult baby/diaper thing is a HARD no for me.

Yeah, this is one of those where I didn't mean to like it but I read the wrong fic and WHOOPS I get it now.

To me it's all about the tenderness, the care, the authority AND the responsibility. It hits really well when the characters specifically are bad at talking about their feelings. Or if they're absolute shit at letting themselves be vulnerable. God it's just all about vulnerability and dependency and it can be so good.

But also I cannot fucking stand baby talk so very rarely does any fic of it work for me.

Ha! I was planning to make a secret about how Guybrush and the Swordmaster were my first gaming crushes from playing one of the nicer graphic ports of MI1.

And while I was generally ok with the evolving design in the series, imo Guybrush’s OG design was done dirty in the MI1 remake:

I’m not naive, I know that Youtube is just an incredibly small, well-curated
glimpse into creators’ lives.

But as someone who didn’t follow any of their social media and who thought
they divorced amicably...

Their fallout was a massive fucking wakeup call.

I don’t know who’s right, I don’t even particularly care... I’m just shocked
that I could have bought so fully into their perfect relationship that the
accusations would completely ruin the entire channel for me.
I unfollowed everything, I don’t care about their next projects anymore, it’s
so uncomfortable.

I'm with you, OP. I like Tudor history and all, but there's plenty of media about that era already and there'll be plenty more since Henry VIII has such huge name recognition in the general population. But I'd love to see more adaptations about other dynasties as well.
