There is plenty to enjoy about following things as they come out, instead of finding them after they're all done. I have fond memories of getting in on canons before all the juicy stuff happened and being there when it happened.

Then there's the stomach-turning feeling when something bad has just happened and you're not going to get a resolution for a while, and that's assuming it's even resolved in the very next episode which isn't always likely, and you're sitting there wondering if you're going to feel like this for the next week, two weeks, month, or however often episodes come.

Just, just hug me please, fictional characters are suffering and I hate it

I am going through that right now and the worst part is that I have to wait an entire month to see if my favorite character is going to be okay. I'm like 95% sure he will be BUT STILL there are plenty of other things that could happen that would be Not Great and the waiting kind of sucks!
