personally i hate it when people do shit like that because it makes it impossible to filter things by blacklisting tags, which a lot of people do for a reason! people blacklist tags so they don't have to see stuff with that content popping up on their feed, and if you censor words then a blacklist won't pick them up, which defeats the entire purpose of trying to block tags in the first place. it's an asshole move.

It's to keep from being demonitized. It's not about trigger warnings at all, but those words getting them to have no ads.

The creator is doing it because of YouTube algorithm censorship bullshittery. An interesting conversation could be had about how this negatively effects creators and the people who DO need to filter out certain content and helps literally no one but is enforced upon the user base. I really hate this shit but it's usually not because the creator has so little faith in their audience.

Most any of censoring words this way is doing so to avoid showing up in searches for certain keywords and to avoid getting hit by a bot/demonitized/whatever. It's not because they think viewers who are looking up true crime can't handle the word "kill".

I mean... the thing about bigotry is that there's no rational justification for it and minority groups are right to feel pissed off. But yeah, characters should still be written like humans with human flaws.

I'd have said Silver Chair, but yeah. The best books never get filmed. Dawntreader, which I personally enjoyed, always seems to kill the franchise when it comes to being filmed.

I'm glad we don't get Last Battle though. It has all the subtlety and pleasantness of a piss soaked brick to the face.

Lol, yeah, don't use TvTropes recommendations.

At most, they're sometimes good at fanfic recs, but even then, there are some pretty bad ones that are recced (maybe not in grammar, but in character assassination or pacing).

The best way to use it is to discover things that have tropes similar to ones you like. And you miiiiiight like it. Maybe.
