You're lucky. Rose is a very polarizing character in Doctor Who fandom, and some of the people on both sides have rather, uh, extreme opinions. Some of the folks who hate her do so because they see the character's arc as full of misogynistic fail, and as a result claim that anyone who likes her must be a misogynist too.

There are not that many people actually saying this, but they're a fairly vocal minority.

130. Judging from last episode, I'm going to have to disagree, just cause it seems like they're actually DOING something with his character instead of just having him pop in periodically to make cryptic remarks and disappear before doing anything helpful, lol.

But before that one came out I was kind of confused about why people loved him so much, cause he didn't really have a personality. Personally, everything we saw in 4x16, I'd already seen in Castiel. It wasn't emphasized as much, nor it was it ever the focus of an episode before that one, but it was there. That's why I loved him. I never saw him as bland or without personality.

117. I love his character and I love that the writers are able to write a character who does have strong faith and convictions. I don't see it as lazy writing. It's always been a part of the character of Ellison and considering that John Henry is like a child, getting into deeper theological territory would most likely come off sounding strange and forced. And who's to say that it won't get deeper in the last few episodes. I'm curious to see if it's possible to have a Terminator respect human life not because he's been programmed specifically by John Connor, but because he's been TAUGHT to to begin with.

Also, it's kind of nice to have a show where the idea of God is okay and the people who believe in him aren't complete nut-jobs.

Yes, Arthur was great. I prefer BBCminiseries!Ford (better wardrobe), have yet to see a live action version of Marvin or Trillian I am entirely satisfied with (though Marvin always gets a good voice, at least), and my mental Zaphod is now Sam Rockwell with the second head of Mark Wing-Davey.

146. Well, I have read the graphic novel, and I thought the movie was dragging and way too fucking long. If I hadn't read the comic, the opening credits would have been nearly incomprehensible (also, the song choice was obvious and cheesy). I certainly don't blame people for feeling bored.

With a different film maker, the length might not have bothered me. I just didn't like the way Snyder did it.
