... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

I'm convinced that the reason JK Rowling is so transphobic is because she is a heavily closeted transman, and she is just angry that everyone else is transitioning just fine while she has trapped himself in his closet. It is the only thing that makes sense at this point.

I don't care if it is a fandom heresy, I still recommend starting reading Pratchett's Discworld series with The Colour of Magic. It is still my favourite of his books. But I also unironically enjoy the flavour of heroic fantasy he was riffing on too.

I'm really glad that Nat is gone from Chicago Med, as much as I liked her. Will is suddenly a likeable character. And he plays off the new character so much better. And honestly, I don't really miss her? The show is just more enjoyable without her.

I think the Robocop live-action spin off show brought something more to the table than either of the two offical movie sequels, or the reboot. It really dug into Murphy's family life, and how he could make connections with other people while still being Robocop. The addition of Diana Powers to the Robocop mythos was a good one too.

I like the female Thor storyline in the comics, I'm annoyed they are going there in the movies. I just really don't like Natalie Portman as an actress. She's boring and flat and really overrated. I was happy Jane was gone, and I wish they weren't bringing her back.

I think bringing RTD back was the worst possible thing they could do. Part of it is that it is moving backwards. But really, I'm mostly still angry and bitter about how he wrote Donna's ending.

I think one of the (many) reasons Granny Huo is so pettily bitchy to Wu Xie is that his grandad, 'Old Dog' Wu, stole her girlfriend back in the day.

I'm happy for the sake of Straczynski that Babylon 5 is being remade. But I don't think I will rewatch. The show has special meaning for me, and I just can't imagine anyone else in the roles. And even if it is new characters, I don't want my favorite tv show to be tainted in my head by a remake, good or bad.

I've loved FLCL ever since I first watched it on Adult Swim back in the day and I frequently rewatch it, but I have no idea why we're getting two brand new seasons when the general consensus seems to be that Progressive and Alternative weren't good and didn't do well. My secret? I am stupidly excited for Grunge and Shoegaze and I'm a little sad that I can't find anybody to squee with because almost everybody hated the previous sequels.

Bonus Secret: I actually loved Progressive and Alternative and I rewatch them almost as frequently as the original.

Ordinary People (1980) helped me through a rough time in my life and I'd love to watch and discuss it with others but it's simply not a film I feel comfortable recommending on account that people I know offline would very likely question the particular reason why this film means so much to me and yes, it's because of *that*.

Kinda dumb but I headcanon The Golden Child (1986) as an origin story of Mushu ala Disney's Mulan. Makes both movies even more fun!

I'm genuinely baffled that I enjoyed the recent Sorcerous Stabber Orphen remake as much as I did. I wasn't expecting much, initially only planning to glance at the first episode out of mild nostalgia for the original series but the remake ended up being better than the original.

Makes me want a remake of the Orphen PS2 game adaption with similar treatment.

I love BuzzFeed’s Male Celebs Reading Thirst Tweets videos. It’s not that I think it’s totally fine for people to say extremely sexual things about male celebs so openly (or even directly TOO them--jfc, stop that). I think we should respect ALL celeb’s boundaries more. But I just find it so endearing and humanizing, to see male celebs read out these tweets and get all awkward and bashful. I think it’s cool of them, because you can see that they don’t really know what to do with all that thirst. They’re never like, “Yeah baby, Daddy’s got a nice big package for you,” they’re always like, “Uh, um, wow, that’s--that’s quite dirty, gosh.”

But I always end up thinking about how I’d feel if it were female celebs reading the tweets instead, and then feeling conflicted because it only works with the men.

I think there are very valid reasons why male celebs reading thirst tweets hits differently, but all the same, I always end up wondering if I should be more bothered that male celebs get these kinds of tweets.
