I don’t like song fics, or fics that have a character suddenly break out into a real world song for dramatic or romantic effect. I find it incredibly cringeworthy and hard to take seriously. So I usually skip the fic or scroll down and ignore the song.

But I absolutely love silly fics where the characters are basically doing parodies or filks of songs! I devour all of those that I can, no matter the quality!

I feel like this is a contradiction.
